Chapter 2: Ambushed

https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/211682552?sort=0&page=0 (Link to Chapter #1) The Fallen Captain drew it's shock-swords from it's sheath, and activated them. Zwwoosh! Arc Energy courses through the rough edge of the blade, the Captain prepares to attack. It raise it upper-arms, I need to act fast. Zwoosh! Zwash! I quickstep backwards before he attacks, its swords slicing in a scissor motion. The blades cut through the snow-covered ground with ease, the Fallen notices my motion and it's fierce blue eyes peer up at me. It re-adjusts its stance, and uses it's swords to fling snow at me. I use my arms as shields, stopping the snow from blinding me. I get my footing, and attempt to grab my Auto-Rifle. "GROOOAAAA!!!" A noise? Above me? I jeer my head up and see the Captain falling towards me, with both Shock-Swords ready to stab right through my body. I turn the safety off, and sling my Rifle over my shoulder, I look up and open fire. KA! KA! KA! KA! KA! I hold the trigger down, at this range the bullets should all hit the Captain. ZING! ZING! ZING! The bullets are bouncing off the Captains's energy shield, I look at my HUD and see my magazine has 12 bullets left. Luckily, the shields shattered, Arc energy disperses from the Captain. "GRAAAA!!!" pain erupts within the Fallen, bullets penetrate through it's abdomen, causing Ether to gush out like a river. The Fallen lands on me, planting it's two claw-like feet into my stomach. All the air gets knocked out of me, I also started to vomit blood. The Captain's sword stabs centimeters away from my head, the Electricity sparking against my visor. Ether still leaking from the Fallen's body, causing a light-blue stain in the snow. The Fallen knows it's going to die, so as a last-ditch effort it raises it's lower arm, Shock-Sword in hand. I can barely see, my blood in my helmet still hindering my vision. Before the Captain thrusts the blade in me, it's head erupts into a fountain of Ether. It's body goes limp, and falls on top of me. It's weights crushes me, and the rancid smell sprints upon my nostrils. "Josh?! Are you ok?!" I hear. The weight of the dead Fallen is thrown off me, and I see a hand reached out to me. I grab it, and suddenly I'm quickly lifted up. I frantically scratch at my helmet and peel it off, air refilling my lungs. I bend over and open my mouth, and allow myself to vomit. My eyes are watering and my throat burns, but I'm relieved. I look up at my rescuer, and I realize that it's Izana, holding her shotgun. "Are...you ok?" she says, but there's no time to reply. We're being fired upon by more Fallen, we need to find cover or we're dead. SPEW! SPEW! The sound of Wire-Rifles ring in my ears as I'm running. "CADETS! OVER HERE!" I hear a voice call out. It's the Commander and the rest of the team hiding behind a boulder, giving us suppressing fire. I grab Izana's hand and run as fast as my body possibly could. We made it behind the boulder, exhaling and panting. I look at the Commander, with his hulking plate armor, with a fur trim around his collar. I take a minute to look at his weapon, it was an auto rifle as well, it had a blue and green color pallet. I recognize the weapon as something the Crucible handler sold, for those who proved themselves withing the arena. The sound of gunfire does not cease. "I can't do this... I CAN'T DO THIS!" I hear next to me. It's one of the Hunters, and he's losing his sanity. "M-My parents were right! I-I can't become a Guardian! I DON'T WANT TO DIE HERE!!!" he whimpers. He's shaking violently, clutching his hand cannon tightly. "SNAP OUT OF IT, MAN!" his friend yells. The Hunter is seemingly not listening, he continues his ramblings. I walk up to the scared Hunter, and I put my hand on his shoulder. "We're going to fight, and we are going to win..." I say. He looks up in surprise, and stands up. "W-What.?" he blurts, I say again: "We're going to fight, we're going to live. Now stand your ground!" I exclaim. I reload my auto-rifle, with a satisfying click. "We may have a problem..." Izana said, we look over our boulder. Every muscle in my body tenses up, CLANG! CLANG! CLANG! A Six-Legged Tank approaches us, bearing the Devil Insignia. It's main-cannon points towards our position, with a intense red-beam taking aim. "EVERYONE GET DOWN!!!" the Commander bellows. We duck our heads down, the worst is yet to come.
