Now, this could be a grimore or couldn't be. I'm stopping my destiny experience when my Xbox gold runs out zero and don't plan on continuing. So, I'm going to write my guardians story, starting with this. "Earth, birthplace of humanity. The past several centuries have been a golden age, starting when the Traveller was discovered on Mars. Lifespan tripled, science had taken a new course. Everything seemed perfect. That is, until the fall. The darkness, ancient enemy of the Traveller, followed it to earth, bringing chaos and destroying the "Golden Age". First came the Fallen, pirate like aliens who claimed the Traveller left them. Then came the Hive, an ancient race hell-bent on consuming all light in the galaxy. And on the furthest reaches, the Vex, machine lords who destroy anything in their path. They claimed Mercury, turning it into a machine. Centuries went by and countless battles were made. The Traveller, crippled by a shot from the AI warmind, Rasputin, was put in a deep slumber. In its dying breath, it shared it's light, creating ghosts, who sought out individuals to harness their light. These individuals came to be known as Guardians. Some were dead long before and we're brought back to fight once more. The humans, known for their cunning and unity against a common foe. The Exo, robotic beings that were once human, but became to damaged and we're put in their metallic bodies. The Awoken, humans who tried to flee the darkness, but we're mutated by the light, only to find refuge in the reef. These three races were chosen to stand against the darkness. Those chosen to become Guardians were granted special abilities. The agile Hunters, who used quick thinking and sharp wit to make a plan on the spot. Most were loners with few very exceptions. They were given mostly the option of two powers. The Gunslingers, who live for the perfect shot. The Bladedancers, who's motto is "beautiful lethality, relentless style." The mighty Titans, who use a strong defense as well as a brutal offense. They can be the destructive Striker, who believe that at close quarters, a fist is better than any gun, or the solid Defenders, who make walls against which the Darkness breaks. And finally, the mysterious Warlocks, who spend countless hours finding and studying how the darkness came to be. They are either the dark Voidwalkers, who have stared into the void and are not bound by space and time, or the bright Sunsingers, who make flames that even the Darkness cannot extinguish. It is very rare that a Guardian can harness both of their powers, and even more rare that they harness their mysterious third powers. And those who use to much of VB their light all at once, their bodies almost become light itself. They become more powerful than anything ever seen. But at a heavy cost. The light they expended saps what life they were given. Ghost can't revive them, and should a ghost be destroyed and the Guardian live, they will be unable to be revived or use their extraordinary powers. The battles were long, countless ghost were destroyed with their Guardians defending what most came to call "The Last City"zero the only known refuge for anyone still on earth. The three most popular beliefs were split into three factions. Dead Orbit, who's followers suggested the city was a time bomb, waiting to be taken and everyone should find another place to call home. New Monarchy, who's followers decided they need a ruler for the city, one that fights for the city against the Darkness. Future War Cult, who's followers wanted to understand what the darkness was and use that knowledge to destroy the Darkness. With the Darkness on the verge of victory and no Ghosts being made, a miracle will be needed. And sometimes, miracles come in the smallest looking ways possible." That's the first chapter, titled "Prologue". The story will mainly follow the game, with a few tweaks here and there. I'm alsp no lore junkie and some things will be different from lore, though I'll try to keep it the same. Let me know what you thought, and sorry for such a long read.
