So as I recently got paid I decided to pop into my local GameXchange. I'm still expanding my GameCube library as I never owned one until almost two years ago. I noticed this little hidden relic of years past, either at a friends house or in a display console, and picked it up for a reasonable $30.
I'll start off saying Star Fox is a short thrill ride. The game's story mode is only 10 missions long and can be completed in about 5-6 hours. However don't let that sway you, because it's worse factor is just that, if only the game could have been longer.
You have three play styles within the game: Arwing, Landmaster tank, and on foot. Many people harp on the land sections for reasons but many are linked to nostalgia boners. Tbh I value this Star Fox so much just because of the non-rail missions. It's something fresh, new, and fits in great so long as you change the controls to Twin Stick instead of default. Also, the ground missions add a ton of diversity to the experience.
At the beginning the game starts you off with an outstanding throwback to previous titles. If only there was just one later mission that packed as much act and visuals as breaking through Oikonny's fleet and pursuing him to the surface.
In the end I give it a solid 9, as it just left me wanting more. Thoughts? Opinions? Discuss below.

Will you start doing posts like these regularly? It's kind of neat and opens up the potential of sharing hidden gems that most people might have never played. Liked and followed.

This was my all time favorite game as a kid. I played with default for 5 years, then realized twin stick was a thing. Also really enjoyed Star Fox Adventures.

That game was amazing when I was younger.

Sounds fun. Never played it myself. Played Star Fox Adventures, though. As far as I'm aware, this is pretty much a sequel?
