Currently the general consensus is that the state of snipers are overpowered for Pvp & let's face it, with mida being nerfed there just isn't much to stop a good sniper from turning around halfway through you melting him with your primary & head shotting your precious little guardian face off. Now before any avid sniper users rush to assume that I am in favor of a sniper nerf consider this: would you rather see more primaries have the capability of countering a sniper OR for snipers to receive a severe weapon "balancing" nerf?! For myself, I enjoy sniping over shotgunning & truly don't want to see a sniper nerf. However, the majority of crucible players aren't that great at snipping... Yet. If the trend continues more & more players will either invest in becoming a better sniper or continue to blunder through in frustration as they get one shot killed repeatedly. I'm pretty sure most could agree that the future of sniper vs sniper crucible matches could get kinda old (boring). Looking towards the Rise of Iron & seeing that thorn will be brought back, I feel that this weapon will help balance the scales. While its' dot effect & visual disruption will keep most snipers at bay or force them to move, I do realize it won't stop a highly skilled sniper. I'm just looking forward to new gun battles & less desperate players turning to the aid of Mods & Lagging! What do you think?
