Is there going to be a DLC for the ps3 as a different path for rise of iron, I've heard rumors bout it

They stated that everything is going to suck for PS3 players and Xbox 360 but no, you can't save up you're money for a few weeks.

Why would they make a separate DLC for consoles that are no longer getting supported and is severely outdated?

No, they won't do this. Destiny will stay as version 2.3.1.1 for Legacy consoles, you will not see any new content. You have until the end of August to enjoy playlists like Iron Banner and Trials of Osiris.
