Cant join up with friends

Hey everyone I've been trying to join up with ppl but it keeps saying "error unable to join the target player please try again" Is anyone else having this problem? Its been this way for 2 days now and I'm getting pretty frustrated so any help or advise would be great.

Known problem, lots of folks are having it and Bungie has acknowledged it. When it will be fixed is anyone's guess.
