I was wondering if there have been any kind of contests for a copy of The Taken King? I have been in a rough spot lately due to being critically injured earlier this year. I spent the beginning of February to the end of June in the Intensive Care Unit at Athens Regional Medical Center in Georgia due to being in Septic Shock, which lead to compartment syndrome, two collapsed lungs, and near kidney failure. I was induced into a coma due to my dangerously high fever. The swelling caused by the compartment syndrome led to my left arm being fileted open front-to-back. Unfortunately, before the pressure was released, necrosis had already set in on several toes on my right foot, as a couple of fingers on my left hand.Weeks after being released from the ICU and several surgeries later, I find myself at home bedridden, broke, with no hope of returning to work in the near future. This has been absolutely devastating to a hard-working and active 30 year old man. :(. I filed for temporary disability about a month ago and have get to receive any news about the outcome. I am in a very dark place and see very little, if any, light at the end of the tunnel. On a happier note, I have very graciously been reunited with my PS4, thanks to the help of some incredible friends! (It "disappeared", along with a "friend" who stayed on my couch last year...). I have been getting back into Destiny, a game that I played religously up until the disappearance of my console. Long story short, I was wanting to know if there was any possible way to win a copy of The Taken King? (Fan art, Crucible tournaments, etc.) I only made it up to the Dark Below. I just don't see myself being able to afford the expansion, as I am barely keeping the lights on at this point. I've just been in such a hopeless state since my extended hospital visit. I know this sounds so pitiful, but this has been my only idea of an unconventional way to possibly (hopefully) win a copy of The Expansion. It really is the best way I can imagine passing my time as my body slowly heals itself. If there is not already some sort of a way for a sick fan to somehow win a copy, would it be possible to organize one? If anyone has any kind of questions pertaining to my illness, please feel free to message me. I have several photos, medical bills, etc. My story is unfortunately all too true... I am just a fan who has been hit with some extremely bad luck who is trying to come up with an unconventional way to pass the time, which I have more than enough of!
