We all know and love Lord Shaxx. Top representative and creator(?) of the Crucible. He takes his PvP child so seriously that he threatens to send groups of Titans crashing through the ceiling of anyone who thinks the Crucible is a game, and it's badass. But what if I told you that when Shaxx has his back turned to the rest of us Guardians, he has a more... mysterious side to him?
You can't be sure, but you think you've seen Lord Shaxx speaking into a sphere just like this one.
This is the description of a Warlock artifact known as the Whispering Sphere. At first, I had no idea what it meant and thought it was creepy as hell, but then I found something else...
I hear stories of Lord Shaxx meeting with fireteams of Warlocks who have no shadow and never blink.
This is an excerpt from the Osiris grimoire card, as told by the Speaker himself. This could mean that whatever Lord Shaxx is talking to into the Whispering Sphere could be these Warlocks, judging from the Whispering Sphere being a Warlock artifact, and that these Warlocks who oddly resemble ghosts or vampires in their descriptions could be affiliated with Osiris, since they're included in the Osiris grimoire card, but then again, so could Shaxx, since he is also included in the card AND he was very accepting of the Trials of Osiris being a part of the Crucible when no one thought he would. Or maybe they both could be affiliated to Osiris; who knows. But who are these Warlocks exactly? Where are they from? What race are they? And why does Shaxx have some sort of affiliation to them and seems to be the only one who can speak to them? What link does the Whispering Sphere have between Shaxx and these cryptic Warlocks, and how does it work? Could there be others who possess Whispering Spheres and can speak to these Warlocks?

Edited by Kittimu: 7/29/2016 12:19:21 AMTRANSFORMERS!!
shaxx prime?
-
So based on your title, Shaxx is a Transformer? Shaxximus Prime? Shaxxatron? GalvaShaxx?
-
There is another simple way to cast no shadow other than being a vampire monster like you say Shaxx speaks to but it is worse to think of. To cast no shadow is to stand in the darkness. Without light there is no shadow, so the scary thing is that we may be training under a guardian who takes their orders from corrupted warlocks that live in the darkness.
-
Those Warlocks that have no shadows and never blink are from the mysterious clan Red Bar. Shaxx uses them to test Guardians who do too well in the Crucible, using some ancient ritual called "SBMM".
-
I always thought the artifact was in refrence to how he talks to us in the crucible. And maybe Osiris thing is about getting trials in the crucible
-
couldn't it just be something like him talking to osiris representatives about details such as the next location for the trials? albeit in an incredibly shady way.
-
I only clicked on this for a theory that Shaxx is a Transformer. I am disappointed.
-
Hmm... yes, interesting. Hopefully we'll hear more about this in later expansions (ROI maybe?). Also, may I buy nine milk chocolate Miltons? I head they melt in your Milton.
Sorry if you don't get the reference...
Shaxx is secretly a Warlock. #IlluminatiConfirmed
-
Also I saw someone who sounds a whole hell of a lot like him; out with a guy in a cowboy hat killing zombies and talking about a scary dude with a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire. Weird stuff man
-
So thats why shaxx oversees ToO matches

Edited by Haffoc: 7/27/2016 11:21:45 AMThe whispering sphere is very similar to the symbol used to indicate where Xur is at the tower. Xur has a globe in a triangle, though the point is at the bottom, not top. http://i.imgur.com/SyuV4EF.png Osiris has been working with Mara Sov, Eris. and possibly the Nine on a plan that started with the death of Oryx. Osiris met with the Nine, although Vance tells us it wasn't the time. The grimoire you refer to is the Speaker not a ghost. :)

Transformers. More than meets the eye!!!
-
Shaxx did openly accept Trials of Osiris, much to everyone's surprise.
-
I always thought the cube was an explanation for how he announces every crucible match ever
-
-
I'm guessing that Osiris Cultist talk to Shaxx because Trials of Osiris is a crucible event so they have to communicate to organize it. The weird description of the warlocks could be due to being a member of the cult. And the orb could be like a communicator or email message device to talk to them.
-
Maybe the warlock team were Osiris cultists or maybe Trinity star cultists. I've never heard of this side of shaxx but I'm more than eager to find out everything. Also it's said shaxx actually liked it when the trials of Osiris moved in and he even made the elimination game mode to help guardians practice. The tower did not expect him to even like the event.

It's a weird future microphone
