It really does suck not living or working at a pokestop everyday. Really makes the game frustrating to play. How can I catch Pokemon if I can't reliably gather pokeballs?

Edited by puppyk1sses: 7/25/2016 12:54:53 PMThe biggest downfall of this game. It completely caters to people that live in big cities and screws over everyone else. If you live in NYC or LA, you are loaded 24/7 with all the rare Pokemon you can dream of, as well as an infinite supply of supplies, while everyone else is scrounging for Drowsees and a few Pokestops here and there. Not to mention there are several Pokemon (all rock/fire/ground) that simply do not spawn where I live, period. But eeeeveerything spawns in the cities.

The game is really made for people in larger cities. If you check out New York City, there are a dozen pokestops on every block of Manhattan. It's nearly impossible to take a step without encountering a Pokémon. It's the nature of the beast, though. The game bases Pokémon spawns based on cell usage. More people crammed into close confines using cell phones mean more concentrated spawns. In rural and suburban areas, people and places are much more spread out. Surely they could have come up with a solution to keep different people on an even footing, though. If a given spawn point has a tenth of a percent chance of spawning rare Pokémon rather than the usual pidgey, the guy that can see a thousand spawn points has much better chances than the guy that can only see a hundred. Perhaps they could alter the spawn rate based on Pokémon density? The lower the density, the higher the spawn rate. As for pokestops, base the rewards on the distance between them. If a pokestop is ten meters from another stop, it gives one or two items at a time. A pokestop that is a kilometer or two from the next nearest stop gives five or six at a time.

Fighting at gyms nets you more pokeballs than pokestops. You can earn 10-100 coins per day, to buy them after a few days.

If you can find a way to be driven through a town or city center at ~25mph, you can nab pokestops as long as you time things right. Buses should work, or else find a carpool. I got 100 poke balls from a few days of my 15 min carpool to work.

Edited by Joe: 7/23/2016 11:58:27 PM3 or 4 days a week or so I go to this park about 30 minutes away which has like 7 pokéstops. I just walk around there and rotate through the stops, while catching lots of Pokemon because there are always lures on every stop. I get 100+ pokeballs every time depending on how long I stay there.

Spend some money. I found a hitmonlee and had no pokeballs, so I spent $1 and got 20 pokeballs and caught him.

So what you're saying is you have no balls?
-
If you didn't have the balls to catch it I'm sorry for you. My Guinea pig has bigger testes.
