I know Dragon's Breath isn't exactly a hot topic (pun not intended), but I think it could use a bit of an improvement even after its face lift in Taken King. I feel that its blast radius and final perk don't have much synergy. The Who's Next perk only activates on a kill with the explosion itself, not the napalm, which is difficult without a near direct hit on a weaker enemy.
Maybe it could get a blast radius boost or replace Who's Next with Spray and Play. I think the napalm was intended to be the main damage source, so I'm leaning more toward Spray and Play.
Any one else agree?

Yeah, maybe clown cartridge
-
Clown Cartridge would be a pretty interesting pairing with Dragon's Breath. May work better than Tripod because with one in the mag you're reloading after every shot and can get a free rocket. I also think Battle Runner or Life Support would be really good perks to have on it. You can activate it multiple times or at any point that the napalm kills the targets. They should also replace Speed Reload with Flared Magwell and at least give us the faster option of the two.
-
I've never once gotten the Who's next perk to activate it really need to switch to spray and play
-
I think it's already pretty good, but I think the napalm affect should be buffed.
-
Screw Tripod. Its exotic perk should include QUADPOD (four rockets in clip). THAT would get me to put down my MGs and actually use this weapon
-
I love it the way it is. DB is one of the few weapons that is just flat out fun to use. Burn -blam!-ers burn.
-
After getting Y2 version around Christmas 2015, I believe I have gotten Who's Next? to activate ONCE, in the Crucible, and that was a VERY lucky shot.

Edited by Guardian9094: 7/24/2016 8:10:06 PMDragons breath is completely fine as is, when I decide to pull it out and lay waste to my enemies they fall in waves of napalm after the initial blast... run in fear cowards
-
I believe the Dragon's Breath is fine as is, you dont want to make the all in one stop for Rockets like Gjallaballeron was in Year 1 (unless you want Dragon's Breath is back Yr 5 pre order to be in the works) The Dragon's Breath is the one exotic that I have one on each character because it allows alot of area control/denial in PVE as well as give me double ammo for all weapons I have on me. It is good as is, put on some Rocket loader gauntlets if the reload is slow for you.
-
I liked the old dragons breath better to be honest. It doesn't matter what perks they swap with this weapon because it will just remain garbage. A very poor implemented weapon indeed.
-
Give it tripod to be able to shoot three rockets without reloading would make it an excellent PVE rocket and no one will use it in PVP as its too slow and the blast radius is too small.
-
I agree. It'd be nice to see an exotic launcher other than Truth get some attention for once c:
-
It would be a lot better if Who's Next got replaced with Spray n' Play. Also, increase the velocity; the slow flight speed makes it easy for targets to move out of range and makes it harder to judge when you're used to faster rockets.
-
Yes. And while we're talking launchers, I'd love a PvE-focused buff for Truth as well. It's great in Trials, yeah, but most Destiny players don't play Trials.
-
Man I totally forgot about that gun until I read your post lol Dragons Breathe really needs some changes
-
Well it should be reverted back to 3 in the chamber like it originally was. No one wants to use a 1 canister exotic
-
Honestly they -blam!-ed up with its its updated version, they should have left it the same and just replaced the solar grenade with the napalm. That would have made it much better.
-
Spray and play + 2 rockets in mag would be nice
-
>Add tripod as an intrinsic perk >Allow more rockets to be carried "... I, just want to start a flame in your heart."
-
Edited by hOtrOd_tripOd: 7/23/2016 5:33:46 PMI've never had it proc. Even wearing the Taikonaut helmet. Spray and play would work well especially since they took tripod away from it.
-
Agreed. Who's next is broken
-
Agree
-
Yes i agree. It never activates.
