Don't get me wrong. I love the map. But when it comes to playing Control, there are just too many people that think sitting back and getting their sniper kills in will win a match. Hate to bring you the bad news, your 20 kills and 1.7 KD are almost meaningless when we only have 1 zone all game. Idiots. It's objective based, play the objective.

Pantheon is horrible period
-
I love me a bunch of snipers on pantheon...smells like victory!
-
Loop around and stick the fukkers with a couple lightning grenades.... problem solved
-
That's not the maps fault. Most people rarely flank. When you have flankers on both sides it gets good. Especially waterfall side heavy. Sometimes a guy gets lucky and takes out 4 opponents from that location. The other side gets good with snipers also. Most people ignore the snipers on b lane and try to muscle b. That is why the game gets boring. Gotta flank to make it interesting. Who remembers the maps with the turrets? Those were good times. Especially the one with the wide open space in the day time. 1 Heavy would drop in the building and the other in a shed.
-
Best map in the game. Snipers are easy to avoid, its easy to spawn camp for a quick mercy rule. And easy to get out of a camped spawn
-
Worst map in the game imo..
-
If you can hold b for vertigo, you basically have victory because of it being a massive hub for that map.
-
-B flag in an awful position -heavy ammo nowhere near spawns -ability to spawn trap for huge portions of the game. Yep its a really shitty control map.
-
On pantheon, I dont care about winning. I care about beating the other snipers at sniping.
-
-
You need to put the crack pipe down friend
-
It's dumb because it's so liner to get to B. So whoever caps it just has to spawn trap. That map is 1 sided almost every time
-
The map I hate is shores of time. WHY am I always on the team that doesnt care about zone C? My team always leaves zone C. I have to defend it myself, the opposing team rushes it... and then I get sniped for the rest of the match. IT doesnt make sense, what are the odds that my team never cares to keep zone C in shores of time, and the opposing team always wants it. IMO its like hitting every red light when you are in a hurry.

Iron is control bruh, every game that I played was clash
-
Edited by nomorbountisXP: 7/23/2016 6:42:32 PMWay too easy to spawn trap. Been that way since day 1.
-
If you only get the one point, sit back and let them come to you. It's not Zone Control, I've won a few like this. You can do it on Shores of Time too. Just be more patient than your adversary and you can win.
-
IB is not mainly objective based it's really bounty based. Plus a lot play it just for loot.
-
No, basin sucks. People camp at the portal with a clean line on two zones.

Am I the only one that thinks that most of the players I encounter in Control are usually trying to play the objective (often times poorly, but trying anyway)? Yeah, there is the occasional guy who runs off to some sniper lane at the start of the game instead of taking A or B, but it seems like most people know to go stand in the circles. I think that some of the confusion is that not everybody understands that capturing / protecting zones isn't always about just standing in or near the circle. Let's say me and a couple guys are trying to take B in the middle of the game. Some red shows up on the radar and all of a sudden I take off. Then I show up on the kill feed, dead by fist of havoc. I'm sure some people I play with are like "What the hell is that Libguy guy doing? Stand in B you moron!" I know exactly what I'm doing. By rushing the guy who's coming to B, I'm forcing him to either (a) waste his super on me or (b) fight me 1v1 and hopefully occupy him long enough so we can capture B and disperse before he can nuke us. It's the same thing when we're taking A or C and the other team starts to grab B. If I'm suddenly taking off before the zone is captured, it's because my super is ready and I'm hoping to catch three or four guys on B. I may not "shoot accurately" or "throw a grenade in such a way that it doesn't hit a nearby surface and cause me to die," but I know all sorts of tricks like that to hopefully keep us in the game.

Edited by Big Phil 90: 7/23/2016 5:31:33 PMI always, always go around the outside bridge where the heavy spawns to flank their snipers at the start. There is always at least two completely oblivious idiots hard scoping that Are easy kills. Then I go try to take B while my teammates have an opening to push up without being sniped.

I have won control there before so...
-
It's possibly the easiest if the intelligence of 6 people can remember what control means.
-
One of my favourites. Using a sniper and a sniper killer Pulse Rifle and it's a win :)
-
I honestly feel indifferent on this map since I've learned to try and play around it. The map I still hate with a dire passion is Black Shield or Cathedral of Dusk.
-
pantheon is the best map for control imo since you can spawn trap the opponents in one side... they won't get out unless they super a ton, this can be done from any side so it's not really imbalanced either. it's a bad thing that you can even spawn trap but it is a good map for control imo
