Greetings Bungie, Your friendly Bladedancer here with some ideas. I remember Bungie was asking the community to give them some feedback on what they would like to see from Destiny in the future so I'm going to start naming them off over the course of the month. First topic I know is a community favorite which is more interactions with our jumpships!! Why not have some ship racing around the asteroid belts of the Reef or the Dreadnought? Liven the place up a bit. My Hildian Seeker is built for navigating dense asteroid fields, I want to explore some asteroid fields! Like SRL most of the ships could have relatively the same stats to make it a more skill based race! But we could have courses around the Reef, the dreadnought and other places as well! And like SRL there could be certain ships that dropped as rewards for the events! In addition to ship racing how about having ship battles? I’ve noticed that practically all Guardian’s ships have weapons on them, well, those aren’t for show! Let’s use them! Perhaps for lore’s sake our ship can be outfitted with certain EMP devices that target specific ship systems to disable them and knock them out. It’s be a new and exciting PvP mode! Perhaps some people at Bungie have heard of Tachyon the Fringe. Why not borrow some concepts from that game with arena matches with a Guardian(s) fighting against a small horde of Fallen Skiffs or Cabal fighter craft. Or coming across a Cabal patrol in space. Additionally, let’s have more places we can go to. I’ve heard over the Tower PA, that Hunters have gotten lost in South Africa, the Cryptarch has mentioned Hong Kong and Brazil. I want to go there! I want to be able to explore more reaches of the solar system. I want to visit the biggest mountain in our solar system Olympus Mons I believe it’s called, on Mars. Heck why not be able to visit Crucible maps that Shax isn’t using at the present moment, do some exploring around First Light or Twilight Gap. I mean, in the No Time to Explain we were able to go there for the quest, why not for a side mission or just for fun? Say you can only be there for a little bit before Shaxx kicks you out. I want to enjoy the beautiful game that Bungie has created. Granted more areas to explore mean more programming, mapping and rendering but I believe it would be very rewarding. Also, if you were on a little side op with your ship, what happens if you accidentally crash or get shot down? That would open up a new side mission to fix your ship, and the missions would have several variants to keep it fresh. Also we should have some missions (say Vault of Glass for example) where we can do some strafing runs. How awesome would that be? Defending the confluxes while1 or 2 of you fireteam members provided aerial cover but it would only be limited to open areas. Why can’t I see my ship after it’s been docked? How neat would that be, to be on patrol and see other Guardian’s ships in the area? Let’s fly around sections of space and intercept Cabal frigates and Fallen Skiffs. Have something where we can just Patrol space and explore certain asteroids if they’re big enough. Find some loots, find more lore about the game! And perhaps something even simpler than that, is the ability to customize our own ships. I personally would love to put the Queen’s emblem on the flanks of my Seeker but we need some sort of ship customization! Shaders for ships, we can use the emblems we’ve attainted to decorate them. It’s kind of annoying going into a match or mission only to find someone else with the same exact ships yours and nothing to make your unique. And for something like the faction ships, perhaps there would be restrictions on what you could place on it so you wouldn’t have someone repainting a New Monarchy ship in Dead Orbit colors. I’d very much like Bungie to expand on the ship aspect of the game since this is another identifying mark of Guardians and I believe any the idea above would be quite popular with other Guardians.
