Own TTK Collectors Edition - Can't pre-purchase Rise of Iron
I purchased the super fancy The Taken King Collector's Edition on PS4. Attempted to pre-purchase the Rise of Iron expansion on PlayStation Store. Lo and behold, it says I do not own The Taken King and need to purchase TTK before purchasing RoI.
I've already restored licenses. I've deleted and re-installed Destiny on my PS4. I've spent more time than I care to say reading Bungie Forums, Bungie Help, talking to Sony PlayStation reps. It's a goofy licensing issue that (despite what Bungie is saying) is a Bungie mess. The Sony reps say this is a (despite what Bungie says) very common problem.
It's looking like he magical solution is to buy TTK: The Legendary Edition AGAIN?! Buy a majority of the content (vanilla, TDB, HoW) AGAIN? For a third time? Seriously?
Can't I just buy Rise of Iron? Bungie?

I'm literally in the same boat. It's ridiculous because here I am trying to spend yet MORE money with Sony and Bungie but I'm not allowed to. I just can't justify repurchasing content in order to play new dlc.

Are you sure TTK wasn't downloaded on a different account on the PS4 than the one you are trying to buy the preorder?

PlayStation issue licenses and are the ones selling your ROI, they need to ensure you own the license for The Taken King and then figure out why you cannot pre order ROI from their marketplace. (You may also wish to confirm that your Taken King purchase went through, there have been several cases where players did not know that their original purchase was cancelled, and technically they were playing TTK for free)
