Unsolved mysteries in destiny

So we all like good mysteries, yeah? Well I'll give you some: [b]FOR PATROL[/b] [b][u]1. The Ultra captain:[/u][/b] Some of you may have never had the chance to kill this bugger. Some of you may not remember him. When on patrol in the cosmodrome you used to be able to break into the king's watch. On doing this you could go into the main room at the end and a boss with the name "ultra captain" would spawn. It belonged to the house of kings. We still have not yet officially killed this guy story-wise and still don't know why he was placed there. The celebrants of Oryx:[/u][/b] These guys have been around since before TTK. In patrol at the forgotten shore in the bunker up on the hill, if you go down the stairs you come across three lvl 18 major knights. Two have swords and one has a boomer. The two with sword go down pretty easily but the one with the boomer is about as annoying as Urzok, the hated. We still don't know why they were put there and still have yet to offically kill them in the story. [url=https://i.ytimg.com/vi/UJrH2Q0p6zc/maxresdefault.jpg]Celebrants of Oryx[/url] [b][u]3. The wolf lift on the moon[/u][/b] On the moon at the anchor of light, behind the moon base on the left (coming from archer's line) there is a gravity lift with wolf colors on it. It is't active and it points off toward the hellmouth. We have yet to use this lift in general and we have no clue why it's there. The room below Rasputin[/u][/b] There is a room under Rasputin's core room that was once the center of attention during the sleeper simulant hunt. The Regicide devices[/u][/b] In the mission regicide there is this odd device that looks similar to rasputin's stuff. I'm not too sure if anyone has ever really thoroughly inspected this device or if the room as a whole [url=http://i.imgur.com/4X9Q0iq.jpg]Regicide device[/url] [b][u]6. The grotto Orge[/u][/b] In the grotto caves on patrol there is a small cave holding a orge in front of a strangely lit crystal room, there are many "obsidian hive rocks" here [url=http://www.terranceconnolly.co.uk/images/pic022.jpg]Grotto Orge[/url] [b][u]7. Sleeping light[/u][/b] At the top of the cosmodrome ship a cell can be scanned that the ghost says holds a powerful guardian who did not wish to be revived. The identity for this guy goes from master chief (as an Easter egg) to Reyzl Azzir. We don't know who's in this pod and he remains a mystery to us all. Nokris[/u][/b] There's the statue in regicide that mentions a possible hive prince by the name of Nokris. It is assumed he is another son of Oryx yet the only record we have of him is that lone statue so no one can be sure. Pilxis, wolf claw[/u][/b] This is a vandel that can only be seen during the echo chamber strike. It's on the waterfall near campus 9. I don't know them all so if you by chance happen to know an unsolved mystery that isn't up here, tell me and I'll get it up here.     Im the most recent commenter at the moment. Before everyone knew about the whole siva farm room nonsense, where do those doors lead to? Like i had a curios raid team during this time and we took our time with every checkpoint, checking for mysteries. Also, the pattern on the floor before you enter the perfection chamber to fight aksis. Why does it change and why is it there? WHY IS THE DISCO ROOM THERE?! Edit: after you leave the whole death jump area after Death Zamboni, what is the lab for? Like why is it underneath the wall??? So many mysteries

  • I believe the Grotto Ogre was similar to the Ogre in the center of the Hive network on the moon. If you went through one end and were planning on going to the opposite end, halfway there was an ogre there. When the Skolas dlc came out, the ogre was replaced by Fallen. I used to go back and forth to get the Ogre kills level 3. Took about 8 hours to grind. The celebrants of Oryx was more of a, "Hey don't go in here, we devs are working on something." I think they were celebrating Omnigul's breach of the Warmind.

            Most of that stuff is probably for future DLC. Bungie have a habit of hiding things in plain sight- for example, the door to Rasputin's bunker for the Sabre strike has been there since the Beta. I remember speeding the sparrow past the invincible Dregs guarding King's watch and finding that door, imagining the adventures that waited behind it.

              There is an ultra-knight, an ultra-captain, so is there an ultra-Centurion/minotaur? Time to head back to the vault i guess. Wonder were the ultra-centurion could be. Does the Ultra-Captain work with 3oC? Also, notice how both the Ultras currently found have a jumping trick to get to them?

                A little thoughts about this... Bungie should consider to made new weekly patrol events, like random Vex incursion in the moon, a Cabal assault team building a camp in Venus (horde like Oryx Court or even greater with a bigg named boos and a curious reward, not exotics or ovepowered new gear, hypermegasuperweapons at max light its not all in life), or why not? Random enemy elites spawns in certain crucible maps in middle of a match (maybe in rise of iron?...)... A little bit of salt in our salad, please!!. More mistery and a bit of lore... I know its not as easy as have an idea, sit in front of the keyboard and press the "insert asset" button... And all of us known this is a commercial activity further than an artist expression... But i have worked (amateur level) with unreal, for example, and its not difficult implement a few logic to do that sort of things in a finished game... I think the community will wellcome much more simple, but little nice ideas like these, more than "bigger" and more expensive in production events that are more marketing that a few cheap but fun content. Ey, nothing bad to say about the events like srl or crimson doubles... But they was simply not enought to be fun during too many time...rng and infinite iteration, litteraly burn any fun. Anything with a monolithic structure becomes boring while time goes by.... Sorry if the grammar its not perfect, but i learn english by my own with games (;))

                    • There's also another hidden vex gate as you drop down on your way to the gorgons maze! It's inside a hidden cave, off to the right, before you drop down! Why is that gate there, who knows?

                      • The door on patrol in the dreadnaught right before you fight the ultra knight there are enemies fighting there and are trying to shoot you through the glass. Does anyone think that something more is in there like a daily secret?

                                • When I first encountered the Ultra Captain, it seemed weird to me that even though he belonged to the Kings, he was dressed in all black. I understand he was a placeholder, but still.

                                  • This may or may not be anything mysterious, but I'm going to throw it out there. Patrolling Cosmodrome, heading to Sky Watch. In the building on the way towards Sky Watch, through the green hallway and up some stairs, there is a room with Hive enemy's in there. If you kill the thrall in the back right corner, green things/smoke pops out and shortly after an Ultra Knight hive pops out. He isn't hard to kill, in fact he is so easy that I never had a chance to catch his name. Same building, but before you get to the room with the Ultra Knight, there is like a green hive closet looking area where if you let your ghost scan it an Ultra hive Wizard pops out. Another easy kill, but didn't catch the name. I should probably get more intel before posting things like this. Hopefully you all know what I'm talking about. I don't remember having to fight either of these Ultras in the earlier/beginning stages of the game, so I wonder why they are there?

                                    • Also on the story mission where you fight Oryx at the end, there is a door you can scan that the ghost mentions houses another more powerful boss that you should avoid. I'm almost certain there is an alternative ending to the mission where you fight this boss. I've yet to find anything though. The room at the end of Rasputin's bunker cam be entered if you scan a few items on the way, I'm not sure what its for though.

                                          • What bugs me is the room on The Bridge being inaccessible on patrol mode in the dreadnaught yet still theres cabal inside. Ive even glitched ontop of the area from where the Ultra Knight is and still theres nothing of interest there
