No, go away troll. You shouldn't need to club seals to feel good about your game. Play equal skill or play something else. SBMM makes the game more enjoyable for 90% of us, get over it.

In reality you guys should be playing something else. Destiny is t he only game that has SBMM with out a ranked playlist. In turn SBMM dont belong in this game or any in a normal playlist. You dont go into any game and not get destroyed once in a while its just not realistic its the nature of FPS. Getting destroyed may be really annoying and i understand but thats the moment you choose. Put in time to get better? Or dont care because its only a game and who cares about stats that dont matter? Or you care because reasons. Because you care about skills or stats but dont work towards it. But past that it dont even matter anymore keep playing this already cancer of pvp (not even just SBMM but all the cry for nerfs has destoryed this once fun PvP ) overwatch <3

Before SBMM we got destroyed 90% of the time, now it is 50% of the time and much more fun. There's a limit for most of us on how "gud" we can get. And we out number you by a VAST margin.

I like connection based matchmaking just because i found it easier to kill people and i have just a little over average kd. It was way easier to go flawless.

Dont believe all that much. I mean yes vast majority of you who have dont play for weeks on end. But the fact their a sweaty community with 15,000 people just to sweat on the ps4 alone that play everyday. That would show that you may be more but the people who are always palying the game and are in the game or at least play once a day are beating you out in hours. If you don't understand what i mean it quite simple. The 90% only 12% play the game once every day while the population that "sweaty" cleary winning in terms of playing team and popularity in a single day.

While I don't particularly enjoy playing ultra competitive matches all the time, I would however be more willing to play competitively if it wasn't a red bar every match. The larger issue I have with SBMM, as I assume many others have, is the connections that it causes, not entirely the fact that we can't 'club seals'.

Edited by Tirelion: 5/24/2016 2:58:00 AMConnection is still prioritized, it's just that the better you are the harder it gets to find that skill/connection match up. What you have to realize is that for the great majority of us (who aren't that good) this skill/connection matchmaking is working VERY well. I (and literally everyone I play with) have had much more fun in the crucible since they made the change.

I did actually mention in the video that I'd have no issue with SBMM if they offered ranked and unranked playlists (SBMM and CBMM, respectively.) Although, SBMM can negatively impact lower skilled players, such as being in a fireteam with someone who is statistically much higher than you. If it matchmakes with the strongest player in mind, the other fireteam members are going to have a miserable time. Not to mention the kind of lag it will create.

Except that the reality of mine and my friends' experience is that it has been very positive. There are many more average players for whom it makes better, than top 10%ers for whom it makes worse. As a profit driven company, the choice of using SBMM seems clear.

I'm glad that someone can find enjoyment out of SBMM. My reality is that if I'm playing Iron Banner for example in a 5 or 6 man fireteam, we would have k/d's ranging from 1.7 to 1.1 to 0.6. Honestly, in most scenarios, no one is having fun. The other team will frequently have a red bar god that teleport kills you and for some reason won't take damage. The best player struggles to break even while the others simply don't stand a chance.
