After researching stats / testing out PVP on a new account, simply turning SBMM off isn't the answer. Far more people will be hurt by the change than we think. I'm not saying every gaming being ultra competitive is right either.... but we need to look a the greater good instead of what is best for the top players.

1 ReplyYou didn't address the lag once in your video. SBMM breaks the dwindling player base into even smaller chunks, causing latency as we have to go further to find opponents. Nor did you mention the awful things that happen when a skilled player plays with unskilled friends. The most skilled players ELO is taken into consideration so the unslilled friends get crushed. You only looked at the issue from the perspective of someone who only solo drops 100% of the time. Sorry mtashed. You need to open your eyes. Your research is flawed. Maybe this is why you have 0 likes on this forums post.

at least this is a fair opinion, many will not agree with you, but I think you covered all sides of the argument

I would have o agree with having a ranked playlist, but I think there should also be dedicated servers.

SBMM is a joke on non ranked playlist especially with P2P.

Great video, very clearly explained the issues. You are wrong about the social list though, that would quickly become the domain of high skill players and those not smart enough to avoid it. Remember, Destiny has a mode with no SBMM, its called Trials and to high skill players it is a nice social game but not so much for the rest.
