Like if you Agree Destiny NEEDS to be More PVE focused like we were ALL Originaly Promised

leaving what we already have established for the PVP community aside if you agree Destiny is in dire need of a more PVE focused campaign and patrol aka the sandbox part of destiny needs to be reworked to have new events, bosses,better loot drops more secrets, and more interaction perhaps even being able to enter strikes at will but only receive Patrol based rewards Not strike specific ones

  • I believe bungie doesn't know what to even do now there scared of there game dying but honestly it died right after taken king they just need to cut there lost which I'm sad to say after putting this much time in a game it's sad really is

    • I love how every time one of these poll threads come up, there is an astonishing split on the order of 90%+ in favor of PvE over PvP. So tell me now, how you PvPers can claim that you own any form of majority in this community? I've said it over and over again, Destiny cannot make any solid forward progression until they drop this PvP favoring mindset.

      • I completely agree with this, for players who enjoy PvP the likes of Bungie and Activision will listen to what they want but, alot of requests the PvE players make seem to be ignored. While there should be a focus on PvP it shouldn't be the main focus. It makes players feel isolated and leads them to leave Destiny for other games which is a shame as it is a game with so much potential.

        • Oh my god, why is this still happening. PvP has, like, 9 maps. That's it. The game modes offer weapons TO COMPETE WITH PVE ITEMS DROPPED, and is still Skirmish, it just takes longer. Iron Banner? You think that gear is useful? PvP literally hasn't changed, at all, seriously, since House of Wolves. You guys have like, 4 hours of cut scenes, 30 some story missions, 3 raids (don't you dare say they aren't relevant), A Prison of Elders (BRAND NEW CONTENT) and a whole plethora of new Armour, Weapons, Shaders, and Emblems. This is without mentioning that all the DLC's were purely PvE based (nothing new got added until well after House of Wolves for PvP) And now you guys are crying again!! Seriously! How is this possible. How can you look at such obvious facts, and still cry and whine? So you can't spam a sniper rifle on Oryx, god forbid you have to play a higher difficulty. Oops? Remember that? When you all said you wanted high level activities, because these were too easy? Now that it's harder, all you do is complain. Seriously, try a new game out

              Patrols: More landing zones Level 42 Patrols with 20% better loot drops and more loot drops Proximity chat (Could be ghost telemetry or something?) Additional public events Greater rewards for the completion of public events (Seriously, 4 Motes?) Additional bounties that tie into the environment more Rewards unique to Patrol mode Allow access to the areas added since launch for strikes and story missions Add new areas entirely that have to be ‘conquered’ before you have the freedom to explore and prosper from them Do away with the story missions as separate entities and have them played through the Patrol world Secret Vendors that run around and can sell exclusive or cheap weapons. Edit: Loot CACHES not just little boxes that relic iron hides in with 13 glimmer. They'd contain: Reputation (Vanguard) Per. Boosters, various Chroma Marks Hundreds of Glimmer Passage Coins Strange Coins Motes (At least 6) Possible Ship Blueprints Rare Engrams Legendary Engrams Exclusive patrol gear Ghosts and Artifacts Shaders Emblems And of course... Maybe even an exotic.

              • It isn't a case of favoritism that needs to be addressed. It isn't a case of lack of PVE. I THINK what the heart of the issue is for most people is the lack of evolving PVE and storyline. We know about 5% more than we did at launch even WITH new grimoire cards. We also-- as someone said farther down- keep jumping through the same hoops over and over. Evolution is paramount. As for PVP- all the nerfs and changes have made that a rocky road. Then they throw curve balls like bringing Universal Remote back to prominence so you have people with short range and long range combat in their favor with shotgun/sniper combination. And since there's no idle-sway on a sniper it's easy pickings all day with a little bit of practice. PVP will never make the majority happy. And I personally only play the crucible anymore because of that lack of evolution.

                Yeah because pve is so fun Raids with terrible rewards. Nightfalls with terrible rewards Strikes with terrible rewards Omg patrols are so fun you guys. The story is the best aspect of the game.

                • Most of these ideas are phenomenal!!! They could really make a epic game from these suggestions. Man I wish I had the money to fund my own venture! Would hire the right people with the know how and make a game based on input on this community

                  • Something I've said from the beginning to my friends is that everything should be available while you are on that planet. If you want to hit a strike go to that starting area and his a different color patrol beacon to start the mission/strike/raid. It would make patrolling the planets relevant.

                      I want to be able to walk into an area on patrol and just get lost, discover secrets, loot and find hidden lore. then be able to fight and find my way out after hours of searching and look up at the sky and praise the sun and get back to my ship only to travel to another world and find more secrets...

                    • I think a lot of you are missing the point and thinking about how PvE is NOW OP means the PvE we were promised before Destiny release A great story An ever evolving world etc.. telling Bungie to fix PvE and make it better and more fun and adventurous.

                    • I dunno this PVE player Kinda wants a pvp heavy dlc. New 6v6 team objective. Bunch of maps. A new end game-ish activity. And of course simply upping difficulty on old strikes and putting in weekly/NF rotation. But that shouldn't be much effort

                      • I think the issue has more to do with people (myself included) playing the sh$t out of the game. If you play enough of just about any game it will eventually start becoming a bit repetitive... So I sort of find if hard to fault Bungie for this. Of course we always would like MORE and better stuff but I think compared to most games out there Destiny punches above its weight and deserves more praise than criticism. As somebody mentioned and I included myself in this equation, some of us who get a bit "burnt out" should probably play some other games more often. I think Destiny has far too much potential for Bungie to not invest farther into the game but these "investments" will probably take more time than many of us would like to wait. It's human nature we want what we want and want it now. I've found that taking breaks to play other games every now and then makes coming back to Destiny more rewarding / entertaining. I've also come to respect Destiny more seeing how well it plays compared to many other games. Sometimes you got to take a step back and regain some respective again.

                        • I would like to be able to fly into a patrol zone anywhere on a planet as long as there is sky overhead! Why, if the fallen are so stupid, can there drop ships go everywhere on a planet yet we have to start from one spot only? Why cant my ship drop me into skywatch? Why can fallen ships drop troops right behind sepiks prime, yet i have to start in the rocketyard? (I am aware that sepiks is a strike and not patrol, im trying to prove a point)

                          • I play both PvE and PvP and IMO Destiny has always favored PvE over PvP in regards to content. From the launch of the game until now PvE has received the bulk of the attention when expansions come out. When an expansion comes out PvE gets missions, Strikes and a Raid (Or Raid equivalent). In comparison PvP gets 4 or 5 maps and maybe a game mode. If you want a PvE focused game maybe The Division is more of your thing.
