I probably should have waited a little before posting this, I know, seeing as many analysts are calling this year the middle (because of PS4 'Neo' and Xbox One'.5'), but blame Uncharted 4 for being so glorious.
So what do you lot think? It has to be a title totally new to this cycle, so remasters or whatever don't count.
Uhh. What were the big titles of 2014?

Edited by tjustie: 5/21/2016 3:50:30 AMThe Witcher 3 no contest. Bloodborne is probably my second favorite so far. Still gotta play Uncharted 4.

Something more appropriate to your title would be, what game was the one that made a big impact in current generation, which in this case would be fallout 4, why you ask? Well every game has their own story and game mechanics fallout it's one of them but one thing that bathesta is doing with fallout 4 is that for the first time pc, ps4, Xbox one will have mods, something no developer ever attempted. It may not seem like a big deal right now but if you think about it other game developers might consider mod support instead of making us buy dlcs with stuff t might not call our attention but we're getting it because there that one thing we want from that dlc.

So far it's easily the witcher 3 for me, without any contest. I'm even more excited for it's next dlc than any full game releasing this year.
-
Yeah, I'm gonna say Uncharted 4. Witcher 3 had so little to do. I returned after 12 hours of gameplay. They both have wonderful graphics, but The Witcher 3 doesn't do anything with it, the world is so boring. Uncharted 4 has epic set pieces and awesome characters. You wish you were as badass as Nathan Drake.

Edited by StrelokAnd: 5/23/2016 3:03:27 PMHalo MCC One of the best. It's not really fair to just pick one.

Enchanted arms.

Battlefield 3

Destiny may not be the absolute best game on this list, but it has had by far the most influence in the gaming community.

I think all of those games have brought something really nice to us over the years. It's not really fair to just pick one as "the best"

Peggle 2

There is a pc game that i call game of the genration Red Orchestra 2

Where the hell is Alex the Kidd

Minecraft story mode

The Witcher 3. It's not even close. Hell the " Blood & Wine" DLC will probably be worthy of GOTY discussion and it isn't even eligible. It's not just a game of the generation, it's an all time great that will be in the conversation with Resident Evil, TLOU, FFVII and other all time classics.

I could spend all day gushing over how amazing Bloodborne is, but I'll leave it at this: Bloodborne trumps all of these games in terms of story, atmosphere, and gameplay.
-
Bloodborne is better than Dark Souls 3 do I'm going to go with that.
-
Star Wars KOTOR

Probably half life when it comes to shooter / modding scene. The rts equivalent would be wc3 (tft) It kinda invented the whole modding scene (cs, tfc, dota). While the game itself was great it provided a solid engine that could be used by the community.

Halo 5

Well i don't play all of the most popular games nor do i understand some of the praise behind games. So I'll just say DOOM as it's brought back a old franchise and is different then every shooter out currently and has so far provided me with endless amounts of fun.

Just cause 3

I know Destiny isn't the best game up there but I feel like it's an unforgettable time we all share.

Did you leave out the division on purpose?
