It's that time of year again, Lizard squad is going to ruin a lot of Christmas' for players, but with that said, we'll be welcoming with open arms, many holiday noobs.
It's during this time we should reflect on the stupid shit we've done, and how we've grown since then.
When I first started, I thought motes of light were incredibly tough to get, so they must be extremely valuable, and I tried not to use them for months. I kept waiting until the Speaker had a cool piece of gear to get..but that never happened. After 6 months, I probably had like 30.
Yup..
When doing linear strikes, I would constantly get lost. Especially on Sepkis Prime.
I was dumbfounded by the Nightfall blue flame. I thought they were employees or admins.
I kept (see: hoarded) green weapons, because I thought they might be useful.
My first exotic was Plan C, after getting one or two more, I kept them all--thinking they had different stat rolls.
I thought heavy weapon synths were a scam.
I thought buying an engram was a waste, especially a yellow one that was random.
As a Warlock, I only wanted gear that had high strength, intellect wasn't important.
I didn't finish the VoG until a week after CE dropped.
I would constantly bring my fire team back to orbit by accident.
I thought that proximity chat was a thing, and that no one had mics, and that's why they couldn't talk.
For whatever reason I went to patrol..a lot, rather than doing story missions, thinking I'd level up faster.
When a public event happened, I got super excited and thought I was witnessing something incredibly rare.
And there you have it, some things that I did as a noob. It's good to reflect on where you've come from. We need to realize not everyone will know the mechanics of a strike, or know the best way to level up. Take advantage of the refer a friend program, be the guiding light for another Guardian.
Edit 1: If you're on PS4 and ever need help, my Bungie name is my PSN ID.
I'm glad to see people having fun with this topic.

I didn't meet Xur until week 8; and didn't work out that he moved around the tower until Week 11... I let my friend talk me out of buying MIDA because he said I needed armor more "to raise your light level"...
