**Cabal Raid Idea**

Immense wall of text warning, but worth the read!! (Also may need some editing, standby for fixes/additions!) Before we begin, I'd like to thank "Dragonz" for making the post about Cabal raids to begin with. The post excited me into writing out a raid and it got a ton of traction. So now, I am sharing with the universe! ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Cabal raid starts with raiding their royal fleet in space (spaceship combat much like Halo: Reach), boarding the high Valus' flag ship and fighting through the ranks of battle hardened Cabal. It'd go much like any normal raid we've had. Enter room, do stuff, kill things. After the intense space battle, you board the ship, go through a maze of ventilation systems, full of dead ends and never ending pit falls. The route is different each time you raid, based through procedural generation. Tread lightly! Once the exit is found, you enter a large militaristic docking bay loaded with many unmanned land tanks and Cabal weaponry. Did I say all of them were unmanned? I meant all but one, which is armed to the teeth, surrounded by a large "bubble shield" That you and your team will have to take down to dish out damage. Upon destroying the Imperial Tank, a large bay door opens, with wave on wave of cabal phalanxs (the ones with the shield) with psions running about between them. After you defeat the largest onslaught of cabal any guardian has ever seen, you proceed through many halls only to find a door at the end. It's locked. But that's okay, you're new, and had no idea. The Ghost can't find the cryptic combination to unlock it either. The hall way has three switches hidden away. Basically safeguarding the next boss ahead. (Just in case..) The three switches are located at the beginning, middle and end of the winding hallway. Once all are pressed (at the same time) enemies will flood out splitting up your team. (it's best to send two team members to each switch.) Got the door open? Awesome! Now go fight two heavily armed Cabal generals. It's essentially the bond brothers but you fight both from start to finish. They both are armed with the orbital back cannon you encounter in "Bond Brothers". They fire one at a time however. (overheating.) While one of the generals is cooling down, he switches to his chain gun and occasional missiles, like you encountered with Valus Tauric (totally butchered name) It's best to attack the one that is cooling down, since the other general firing the cannon is surrounded by a shield and not worth entering. Finally they're dead. You and your team have made quite a mess of the place. Zavala thinks that isn't enough, however. Together, he and Ghost devise a plan to arm one of the Cabal's nukes to destroy the entire flagship, sending a message of strength back to the Cabal empire. So you make it to the nuke loading bay. Good for you! Now you have to let Ghost arm it. Which takes "time". Time for more hordes of cabal! Centurions, psions, phalanxs, and the shielded ones (name escapes me but you get the idea) There are three shielded ones, each with their own elemental weakness. Basically generals one rank under Valus. Bomb is armed after they die. Finally. The moment you've been waiting for. It's time to fight the emperor. He has everything. Orbital back cannon, chain gun, back rockets.. oh and once he's under half health, he switches to using the chain blade, much like Mauls Maulers! You're in an "arena" with little cover and enough open area for the emperor to speed around once half health. When the emperor reaches a fourth of health, he switches it up once more. He activates his over shield. There are smaller shielded cabal that use a certain energy weapon. Kill them to bring grab the new weapon. Fry the emperor's shields to dish out damage. It's best to also kill one at a time to get the most out of it. You get one shot before the cannon breaks apart. Congratulations! You defeated the Cabal's Emperor! No worries, his son will take over much later and seek revenge. (new DLC hint?! mayyybeee) But wait, what about that nuke? Oh right, there's about five minutes left. Run Run Run!! You have to run/fight through enemies backwards now to make it back to your ship. (it suddenly starts to feel like halo 3's ending) You've made to your ship. *cut scene* Six ships speed away towards our screen with the flag ship in the back ground. 3.. 2.. 1.. -blam!- supernova in space, wiping out other ships close by. Job well done, Guardian. • Good idea, but too short and too many bullet sponges. There aren't enough mechanics for a Raid. This is more like a Strike, similar to Crota's End.

        • Vote for a mission-building-tool! There have been so many great ideas for raids and strikes over the last year ... Imagine if WE could build such things! Yes, of course many levels wouldn't be as pretty as those made by bungie in year's work. But levels we would have! The gear could just be reskinned with some exotics to mix things up. In a final instance bungie could do a quick lookover if none of the weapons / armour would be OP. *wakes up from dream*

          • I like this raid and it sounds good I would make it so only one guardian has to make it back to the ships because I know a lot of people who A) hate timed things and flat out won't participate and B) some guardians are not good at movement and jumps etc. (who remembers vog and kings fall puzzles). Ps I think it is valus taark
