I doubt anyone can change this or anything but unfortunately since playing Destiny (since launch) I've had the worst RNG. Out of my 200+ friends on PSN and even the players I know of Xbox, no one seems to have RNG as bad as me, I have over 900+ hours on the game throughout and still have never dropped half the weapons that become popular for so many people. I was just wondering how many other people are out there who feel that their RNG is so bad it puts them off playing the game completely? Because this is slowly becoming my situation more every day.
I haven't played the game now in about 2 months because for example, instead of spending 5 - 10 hours grinding for a weapon like most people, I could grind 5 - 10hrs every single day for a week without getting the weapon AT ALL. It's so demotivating and frustrating sometimes.
Maybe it's just time to stop full stop? Games are supposed to feel rewarding, but only if the rewards are perceived as worth the time put in. I put in so much time into them that the rewards don't outway the effort (when I eventually do get some).
Wanted to know other people's thoughts and experiences with RNG in general?

I play games cuz I like destroying little girls like you with the guns I like not to whine when I don't get a god role on p90x-Suros
-
Says the 1ky user who has ambush and shortgaze on the same sniper
-
You made a post just to whine about rng. No one cares. Just quit. The destiny community will be better off without you.
-
I find i always get decent middle tree perks and one good perk, but thats it.
-
Sounds like my like farming for Grasp of Malok

Shoot shit, get shit, find out it's shit.

Fun... The same point for every video game.
-
Do you enjoy farming for hours on end to no avail? Do you love going forwards then backwards on the same level as "new content?" Do you enjoy using matchmaking....outside of the game? Do you love broken pvp? Destiny is for you!

I can't

Your expectations are too high, just stick to doing simple activities and don't think of a weapon or piece of gear you want just play activities just because there is a chance of something good, enjoy your activity don't do because you want like one gun. And once that activity is finished, tick it off the list and do the next thing or try again on another character, people are taking rng wayyy too seriously and stress themselves out

Edited by L0neWolfShadow: 4/5/2016 5:13:43 PMIf I were you I'd just stop playing this game it has lost its touch and the April update will keep ppl entertained for maybe a week tops id seek out new games to play with your friends if I were you if you hate grinding so much

While I agree on the absurd RNG and loot system, the game and ALL games are generally made as a source of entertainment. You should play to have fun, if it becomes a chore then don't play for a bit. EVENTUALLY, you'll get everything in the game.

The only exotics RNG that you don't have are plan C, icebreaker, and necrochasm. 3. That's not half.

RNG is a cold bitch...it's the worst relationship iv ever had..I give an give and she never puts out. I even give her all my gold coins.. And when I finely get a lil something something ..im happy just to get (290) that = a hand job. I swear all she let's me do is grind on her..im getting chafing

I often get good weapons, but I never get good rolls. I've come to expect to never get god rolls unless I purchased the gun with that roll (hung jury). Also, after around 50 raid completions, I still have yet to get a 320 helm

As with any game, the point is to enjoy it. If you don't enjoy it, don't play it. If you enjoy it, play it. What other purpose to the game should there be?

I just got a grasp with counterbalance, braced frame and Army of One after grinding for 1-3 hours.
