Here's the deal: My "NAT" is open and the multiplayer connection test on the Xbox one dashboard says that everything is OK for online multiplayer. So, why can't I find a match or even see anyone in the tower?
I have not changed a single setting on my xbone or modem since purchased last August and have had minimal errors until now. Just last night I played for hours without issue.
I just don't understand...

Have you tried hard resetting your console? That tends to fix some of the empty tower issues.
