This is aimed at the devs ...
I have been a "Day 1" player but this year I have only played once. The reason is - and this is just my own personal feeling - that there is a lack of the "feel good" factor that I get when I see my character improve over time in other games.
What that does is bring me back into the game and drives me on to know I can constantly improve my character. Eg I've played Eve Online since 2004 and I started a pilot there in 2006 who is still playing and still accruing skill points and abilities.
In Destiny most players are maxed level and it's just too hard to get a feeling of achievement when it takes forever to see any perceptible character gains.
I now see a game with endless repetitive pve missions ... the game needs to open up in this regard and involve players in the actual story. I hate the pvp in this game and no longer play it but I love the storyline ... but it's now so limited that I've decided to go long term afk until all of this improves.
I think the devs have done a great job making this works up and I love the story but, you know what, sometimes I look out at the city below and so wish I could go and be there. I feel restricted ... I'd like to see it open world.
I'll not quit the game but I'm afk now until I fancy dipping back in ... but since my character barely improves any more and can't level up ... I've lost the motivation.
Thanks for reading.
