(Poll) RATE Crimson Doubles event. UPDATE: Not good Bungie!
Rate Crimson Doubles on a scale of 1-5 or "did not play" because maybe you're protesting or something:
1 = Hated it
3 = Its OK (Not bad, but not great)
5 = Loved it
Give your thoughts on the event including the gear, quests, the PvP mode, etc etc? What do you hate most and what did you like.
Update: from what i can figure, this is a "below average" event. Some have liked the gamemode, others think its pretty much a copy of Trials. But everyone seems upset with loot and overall content but that is a given as there is no DLC. As some have mentioned, this event would have been alright if it didnt replace major content drops like DLCs.
All in all, it seems like this event could be stamped as "fail" for Bungie. Unless there's some magnificent curve ball where you make it rain new content lol. Not sure how many devs are working on Year 2 events, but i would suggest employing more cause you are really running this game into the ground.
Also, why in the hell is there no matchmaking for this event? Seriously. I would love a response on this one because it makes zero sense from every point of view im standing in.

I can't stand PvP but me and my buddy didn't have that bad a time, we only played 12 or so games(til we got the bounties done)didn't really have any issues with lag or anything like that. The only issue is that we didn't get a single ghost drop, for completing the "main" bounty we got a damn emote, who gives a shiτ about a damn emote....nobody! All this is is another bungie grind fest, even if ghosts do drop they're not guaranteed 320, just like the stupid SRL, but at least the SRL had higher drop rates.

SBMM should not be in destiny at all. This game is just supposed to be to have a great time. Instead we just recieve and inmense amount of lag and having to sweat every single match. This game should not be competitive, is a game people get together and have FUN! Lagging and sweating every stupid match is not fun! So please, if CoD could remove SBMM in less than a day, why cant bungie do it too!?!? We have had this since january, come on FIX THIS NOW! SKILL BASED MATCHMAKING SHOULD BE GONE NOW, it is just ruining expirience because of the LAG.

I kinda wish they gave out armor or weapons at least, seeing a rose on a cape would be dope to have, or have a rose like emblem on a hand cannon would be even better, I'd also say being more creative with the shaders coulda been more exciting, I've already gotta both shaders, at least in SRL you had so many to get.

1 ReplyI'm just annoyed even shaxx bounties were removed & replaced by this "pre fireteam only" event. Just after so many complaints about fireteams in Iron Banner rift we get this. Love that we're all encouraged to rely so heavily on other players in order to even take part in special events. Yeah, I support solo play as well as with a group, but events should work for both evenly if they want any hope of keeping this game alive.

Haven't played it, don't plan on playing it nor do I have any intentions to even bother logging on this week. My co-worked brought me a copy of Far Cry 4. Never played it or heard of it before but he and I talk a lot about gaming at work and he thinks I'd be into it. Gonna give it a try tonight and see if it can't help remove some of the paralytic that Destiny has inj Fred me with.

I'm very average at pvp and even worse at small team pvp. I found it boring and not at all enjoyable. I played 7 matches with someone from the recruitment forum (thanks again for sticking with me even when we lost the first three straight) and managed to grab one of the shaders, an emblem, and red spectre w glass half full. I'll play to complete the bounties and hope for a ghost shell but not impressed with these pvp events at all. Btw no special just devolves these matches in to grenade and ranged melee combat. This is what pvp players will call "strategy" I guess but it's not really shooter style gun play at all so it's tough to call this a shooter let alone competitive.

4 RepliesGame mode itself was kinda fun. But no matchmaking and crappy rewards hamper it greatly. If it's light level disabled and the loot isn't good then why can we only play if a friend is on or LFG? It's just not good enough to make an LFG post for it.

It's ok. Needs matchmaking ASAP! I did it with one character, to do the other 2 will be a task itself to find people. Shouldn't be this hard to get a game going, I mean it's 2v2 and level advantages are off. Hell, iron banner is more competitive and it has match making

Whatever personnel time and money was spent on this (and all these side shows), was a waste of precious resources they clearly don't have / aren't using. I'm not playing on principle. These events are a joke. We want real content. What's even more annoying is that I'm sure they have a reboot of the old raids etc just ready go..... behind an upcoming paywall. It's all about the benjis with bungie.

3 RepliesHate it from the outset. PvP fundamentally plays like garbage. This is not from the perspective of someone who gets beaten and hates it. I really don't enjoy playing PvP at any point even when I'm destroying. Elimination adds even more problems to the formula by giving shields to both players and invincibility to one from revives. Though it is brief it is still crucial, and even more frustrating is that you can revive from a considerable distance. Reviving itself is a clunky process giving up any control you might have to do so. Otherwise the mode is fine. Then there's the heart buff, which makes health regenerate incredibly fast to where you are going to want burn effects on. So thorn and and subclass abilities with that are going to be your go to. Otherwise don't let them take cover for a split second because their health will be full in no time, which is annoying as all hell.
