Trials Lighthouse Sherpas, Good or Bad?
Alright guys and girls, here is the deal, I have been posting of a few Trials Flawless Sherpa posts. I have a pretty high KD, a good medal score, and have been flawless almost 50 times. This attracted lots of people to reply to me.
I told them to all PM me and we could work out details, but after awhile I started getting hate messages from either "Elitists" or people who have tried and failed many times at Flawless. The messages said things like
"You're a scrub for doing carries, everyone needs to earn the Lighthouse with people on skill levels as themselves. If they have a 0.6, they play with maybe 0.8s and 0.7s. Stop doing carries, it's ruining trials"
Personally I think that everyone should have the chance to see the light of mercury at least once, no matter the skill level of the player.
What do you guys think of trials carries?

EDIT - If anyone wants to see mercury send GraffitiDrifter a friend request on Xbox One. I have about 50 lighthouse visits.

Well, my original post had a link to my twitch account saying that I help take people flawless by doing raffles and if they'd like to enter it was going to start in 5 minutes (last week). I was also told to "not advertise" (lol, its not advertisement it is helping and giving back but OK bud) on this page which is cool, being that I respect someone else's page enough to cease action, if need be. ANYWAYS, people who "carry" such as myself don't do it for money, fame, rank, etc. We do it for people who have NEVER experienced the glory and triumph of landing on Mercury for the first time because they're not "skilled enough" to get to the lighthouse. We carried a guy to the lighthouse the other night who had NEVER gone flawless year 1 or year 2 and then ended up getting a 319 Inward lamp from the chest once we went flawless. I have never seen someone so happy in my life and it literally brought tears to my eyes knowing that WE got him there. THAT RIGHT THERE is why EVERYONE should deserve a chance at happiness. Who gives a -BLAM!- about how YOU feel about less skilled players going to the lighthouse. We all started somewhere and it's time to give back to the people (that are gamers JUST LIKE US)!

3 RepliesI'm torn. I have never been and each week i chip away....slowly getting better. Good some weeks, poo others. If ever a bro needed a carry it's this bro. I have even followed 'twitchers' with intent to get carried but have never gone through with it... On some level i want to get their on my own, with my circle of trials scrub friends. The one's that have raged, laughed, chilled, clutched, drank too much and dare I say improved with. The one's that have never raged at anyone's errors but have given nothing but encouragement and props, the one's that lift the morale after getting stomped during the silent exhales and sighs while flying back, yet again to the reef. The one's that get excited for your good drops, good plays. The one's that send random mid week msgs excited to go again...that's who i want to go to the lighthouse with. So I'm confused... yes I'd like to play with people better than I am and get some help but I'd much rather that be a friend or a member of our clan than some random streamer bro. Yes it hurts sometimes when you basically have two guys covered and the third is a pvp god...but that's trials, I guess. [spoiler]i am scrub but love trials and will probably never get to the lighthouse...[/spoiler] Good luck guardians!

Good Because they are adding more players to the pool that more than likely wouldn't be in the player selection at all if they weren't getting carried.

11 RepliesFlawless runs should be earned by good teamwork, not by getting your ass carried by others. The whole 'Sherpa' mentality is great when it comes to raids and PvE but should not be a part of PvP, especially ToO.

Hey you on 360 or 1? I have both, but my WiFi is throwing a fit and won't connect, so when I get back on, wanna help a brother out? ( PS my stats lie. Went 8-0 on frontier as a 298 warlock at the time, and 8-0 using nerfed sunbreaker on the European dead zone map that was just added (sorry don't remember the name.)

There's a big confusing about Sherpas and carriers... Let me show you [b]Sherpa[/b] :Teaches a player what's a effective Subclass Vs another Subclass :Teaches you what weapons beat others and how to challenge them :Teaches you a map layout Sniper lines/Rush zones/Casual stand [b]Carrier[/b] :Takes you to lighthouse and expects to see no more of your sorry ass This is a massive difference between those 2 things, and it's being mislead and Sherpas are getting hate from it and people that are calling them self a Sherpa because they carry people to lighthouse, well you should know your wrong and stop calling your self a 'Sherpa' When your quite clearly not

2 RepliesIdk I've never been to the lighthouse and wouldn't mind getting there... But I don't need a carry either, just a good average team. On Friday I went 6 and 0 just trying to do Bounty's... Unfortunately we got shut down by one team of laggers and another team of REALLY GOOD PLAYERS... So close and yet so far... :/

A steamer can make 15 people a day happy, but they piss off about 200 people. How is that good? It's not. I'm not an elitist, I've only been to the Lighthouse once and that was in year 1, I kind of carried the other 2 as well. But I think Bungie should make it like this: 1 Trials card with 7+ wins per character per weekend.

3 Replieshttp://youtu.be/E14YUmewSiY This is who carried me. By playing with StunShy and Eezygamer I learned a lot of things I did not know about weapons and tactics. Having elite gamers come out and stream and help people makes the whole community better. That is if your willing to watch. No one is perfect and god knows Trials and crucible are not consistent but it can be fun if you can except that somethings are out of your control and winning every game is not possible. Sometimes it's hard to send a gg when you get beat but it's the right thing to do. If people are lagging they may not know it. Its part of how things work at the moment. Hopefully bungie will address the issue soon.

Carries are good it's the people who get carried then put the emblem on all 3 characters and act like a god for getting carried to the lighthouse that are annoying.

1 ReplyI suppose its a good thing if you do it for free. If you are poor at the game, as I am, then you are pretty much carried for all end game content, but by friends. So arguably it is no different. It could be considered bad because it should be something to brag about by all who have done it.
