Need Halo 5 Players for Data!!!
Hey everyone,
Tl;DR - If you play Halo 5, give me your gamertag (in quotes) and rank so I can include you in my data. Also, let me know what you play typically (arena, warzone, custom games, campaign, etc.)
Ex: - "Jacoby04" 42 (arena, warzone)
I'm taking a course on Data Science, and I am going to have a large project of my choice for the course. For it, I have to hunt down some data, decide on some problem to solve or question to answer, analyze the data, and present a conclusion.
I am considering looking into using the Halo 5 API that Microsoft has provided to gather my data. I have already written a test application to access use the API and get information on a player's matches. Assuming I can think of something interesting to look into, I'll need plenty of gamertags from which to collect data on.
To this end, I come to Bungie.net (I know they don't make Halo anymore, but this is the community I have been a member of for many years. Also, there are plenty of Halo players here). If you want to help me out, please post your gamertag (in quotes) and your rank as I have shown above. I can probably get your rank myself from the API, but I would like it in advance in case I want to use players with more games (more games = more data). Also, include what you play in Halo 5 typically so I can know what kind of data to expect.

Update 4: This is happening. My program to access the API and gather matchmaking game reports is running as I type this. Thank you to everyone who left their gamertags for me to utilize; I appreciate the help. (A special thanks to those who were case-sensitive when entering their gamertags!) The data is due on Wednesday. After that, it will be analyzed throughout the semester.

Update 3: I am still working on this and I am working on writing the application to collect the data RIGHT NOW! How can you help, you ask? Well, I need EVEN MORE gamertags! Update 2: After doing some brainstorming, I think I am going to try and see if there is a correlation between a player's melee-esque kills (beat-down, assassination, shoulder charge, ground pound) and their "overall goodness". I will look into a player's KDA and their win/loss ratio as my measure of goodness. Basically, I am curious if players who do not do so well overall have a higher proportion of melee-type kills. I'm still working on the fiddly details, but I found all the information I need with the API and can confirm I can access it. Let me know what you all think! Also, please keep this thread alive so I can accumulate more gamertags (at least until I actually perform the data-gathering). Players of all skills levels are needed! Thanks!

Update: I ran the idea by my professor and he likes it (he's a cool guy). Now, I just have to think about what I want to look for in the data specifically. That is, I need to have some sort of goal or a question to be answered. Thanks for all the gamertags, but be sure to keep them coming!
