Hi, I just bought Bloodborne the other day and I would like some tips on how to play.
BTW I have played dark Souls 2 before, so i know the whole "keep using dodge" thing but I never got past any boss, so...yeah :/

Good tip

Now that you've reached the first boss you can level up. If you have a lot of Blood echos on you it might be best to go back to the hunters dream and use them to level up. That's the game in a nutshell. You have to know when to hold em and when to fold em. As you explore you will find shortcuts and eventually as you level up you will find yourself becoming more powerful. Enemies that seemed impossible become a piece of cake.

If you're having trouble, just restart with the axe. If you still have trouble then grind up a bunch of levels.
-
Get prepared to get lost as -blam!- a few times
-
Use molotovs against beast bosses (cleric beast, vicar Amelia, etc...)
-
Prepare to die a lot

Edited by Artoriasthe3rd: 1/5/2016 6:39:10 PMDon't get greedy with the damage dealing. Only strike if there's an opening. However, if you think you can get some damage in without getting hit, go for it

Whenever you get hit immediately attack to regain some health, and try your very best to save blood vials.
-
If you get lost I'd recommend a walk-through until you feel confident about how well you know the environment and mechanics of the game, it's not hard but it's confusing at times, good luck hunter

Be quick. Bloodborne punishes hesitation

Edited by MarcG420: 1/5/2016 3:10:31 PMYou never got past the last giant boss in dark souls 2? Your chances of getting through Bloodborne are pretty bad then to be honest. If you just stick with it though it's not that hard, fight enemies one at a time whenever possible and don't be afraid to grind out the first area to level up.

Be patient

Hunter axe got me up to the dlc. Start with strength stat if you pick the axe. Endurance dont seem worth the echoes atleast lvl 90+ but a lil vitality every now and then aint bad.

1; you will die. A lot. It's ok. Just don't hoard blood echos. 2; there's no shield (none worry mentioning anyway). Learn how to visceral attack. 3; read items. There's usually something that will help you with a boss. 4; lit lanterns in front of doors or Windows sometimes means there's someone to talk to there.

Don't die
