Zen-A Short Story

So, I am writing a short story, and here it is so far. How is it?
Cold metal bit into the girl's skin. She opened her eyes, which moved frantically, analyzing her environment. She saw metal, and what appeared to be cleaning supplies. She shakily got to her feet and took a deep breath. Taking in her surroundings, she realized she was in a broom closet. Looking at the door, she saw a note attached to it. "Dear Zen, I know when you wake up, you'll be confused. But what happened to you was for your own good. Get to Alpha Centauri. Make a new life for yourself. And never look back." Zen was puzzled by the unsigned note. Who had brought her here? And for what reason? What did they mean by "Never look back"? Still, even though the note had created more questions than answers, at least she knew her name, and had a sense of purpose. She breathed and opened the door. Looking out, she saw color dancing from screens, showing advertisements for different products. She stepped out, and looking down, jumped back a bit. She could see stars, through reinforced glass and shields. "What's the matter? Never seen space before?" Zen turned to see a human boy, about 8. He looked like a figure of the past, with his white shirt, his jeans, and his brown hair and eyes. "I'm Jay." The boy said. He had a hint of superiority in his voice, strange for someone his age. She looked at his outstretched hand, and copied the movement, shaking his hand. It was cold and hard, like metal. “Are you an android?” Zen extended the question, remembering what androids were. “Yep.” He replied. “I’m a T-56 Harkon model, used in teaching and domestic services. Traveling to Alpha to work at a school.” “Well, nice to meet to meet you. I’m Zen.” She looked around and saw a mirror. Curious to see what she looked like, she walked to it and studied her reflection. She was tall and narrow, appearing very frail. Dark blue hair came from her head and reached her shoulders. Yellow eyes looked back, almost electric. A white toga like garment covered her purple skin, and a dark cloak, covered with some intricate symbol, hanging from her lip. She continued to study her reflection, until she remembered that Jay was standing there. “Oh, sorry.” She apologized, rubbing the back of her neck. “It’s okay. Hey, you look hungry. Want to get something to eat?” Jay asked, looking at her. “Yeah, sure!” Food sounded good to her right now. She felt like she hadn’t eaten in days. The android nodded and walked to the entrance gate. He stood still as a small drone flew around him, scanning his face and eyes. “Thank you for agreeing with the WFSA terms and agreements. Would you like to sign up for our newsletter?” “No.” The droid moved out of the way so Jay could move through. He walked through and turned to Zen, waiting for her. She took a breath and walked into the scanning square. “Hello!” The droid started, “My name is R.I.C. Is this your first time with us?” A screen appeared in front of Zen, and she tapped Yes. “Alright! We need to do a facial scan and a DNA test to find your records!” The droid extended a small syringe and drew blood from Zen’s arm. It flew around to her face and scanned. “Accessing...Accessing...ERROR.” Suddenly, the terminals in the room went red. A few seconds later, the sound of combat boots filled the hall. “What’s going on?!” Zen was panicking, looking to Jay for answers. “I don’t know!” He replied, looking around. Security officers started to come into the entrance hall, weapons primed. They surrounded Zen and prepared to fire. Finally, a tall man walked into the room. He seemed to draw attention, and his green and grey uniform had no smudges or stains. He looked at the droid, waiting for it to speak. “Captain Clerk, Sir! I was following protocols with this woman’s registration, Sir!” The droid started, speaking quickly. “Alright R.I.C, we’ll take it from here. Clerk responded, his voice resonating. The droid gave something that could be approximated to a nod and hovered back to where it came. Clerk turned to Zen, studying her. “Follow me. Try anything, you’ll be floating in the Oort Cloud before you know it.” He turned on his heel, walking away. Zen had no choice to follow him, fearful. Ethan Clerk paced around the interrogation room, rubbing his eyes. He had been in there for two hours with this girl and he hadn’t got any information out of her except her name and the fact she had “woken up” in a broom closet.
