I personally don't feel like it is, no objectives may promote camping. I won't be surprised to see people camping their own spawn with snipers and only occasionally venturing forward for special ammo.
What are your opinions? Would it have been better off still being control? Or another game mode?
[b][i]EDIT[/i][/b] Some very good points being made in favour of clash, obviously the blueberries having no clue of holding objectives in control was a major drag for everyone who knew to hold flags. Kills only should (you'd expect) be easy enough for those random teammates.
[b][i]EDIT 2[/i][/b] A lot of guardians happy for the change, which I totally agree on, many happy that they won't have to rely on blueberries to play objectives too, again I agree.
As we all know, the standard of players in the banner compared to regular crucible (barring daily modes) drops slightly, do you feel it is easier to carry a team to victory despite only a few going positive K/DRs?
[b][i]EDIT 3[/i][/b] Nice to see so many of you with constructive comments and reasoning to your choices, only a few toxic comments, who, with their stats, will not be enjoying the banner regardless of game type.
I'm definitely looking forward to challenging some of you guardians during the event and maybe even seeing you owning as the blueberries on my team too.
Most of all, I hope the banner blesses you all with good RNG (yes even the toxic commenters), we all know how bad it can be.

Well as we all know banner has arrived. And whilst I'm enjoying the change. Playing alone provides new challenges other than the mode itself. I've had to almost literally carry teams to a win on a few occasions and it's definitely not as fun (for me) as it used to be. If any of you are finding difficulty getting a group together for PS4 send me a pm and we could run together. My stats are available (PS not much history as was a new account)

2 RepliesNo, if there's ever a match type that suits Sunbreakers it's definitely control. No other subclass has a super that lasts even half as long. In control a well timed bladedancer, Gg, stormcaller, FoH and nova bomb could take out 3/4 players trying to take control of a zone. Now the effectiveness of those supers will be wiped out, multi kills will be fewer, more clutch supers just to take down 1 opponent. However a Sunbreaker can run around long enough, taking ridiculous damage and still not die whilst throwing their 7 insta kill tracking hammers. Then there's all the campers, from the snipers hiding at the edge of the maps, with aim assist, luck in the chamber....one shotting everything in sight. And finally there's the happy campers with blink shotguns, I expect to see even more Conspiracy theory D with stupid range and impact or Invective with final round. [spoiler]still won't stop me trying to get rank 5 on all 3 toons[/spoiler]

The worst game type you can play with randoms is objective based. There has been many times when I'm on top of the leaderboard and my team still manages to not capture enough control points to win -_-

Alot of players dont play the objective anyways in control and play it as if its clash. Now people wont lose because their team didnt play the objective. Wins and losses will now be more representative of each team's skill. I think it's a welcome change I also enjoy Iron Banner Control so as long as that isnt gone, its all good

I'm just glad I can come to the forums without the scrubs defending their awful KDs during iron banner by saying they help their teams with zone captures. Kids gonna be salty next week!

I like control because historically the only roaming supers were on hunters, like arc blade. You could pop arc blade at any time, and probably get at least 2 kills. As a nova bomb, I needed that zone to gather everyone together to kill lots of people. But not that we have storm trance, Titans have hammer, and hunters have arc blade, we don't really need the zones as focal points for people. So I think the change will be good. If we lose, it's because we lost, not because we couldn't hold b or our own base.

Happy for the change personally. Control has been done to death in IM at this point and changing it up is good IMO. Clash matches also seem to be a little quicker and you don't have to worry about the randoms on your team actually playing the objective.

It should be cycled through: Clash Control Zone control Trials should be a mix of Elimination and salvage Elimination with an always active zone.
