I personally don't feel like it is, no objectives may promote camping. I won't be surprised to see people camping their own spawn with snipers and only occasionally venturing forward for special ammo.
What are your opinions? Would it have been better off still being control? Or another game mode?
EDIT Some very good points being made in favour of clash, obviously the blueberries having no clue of holding objectives in control was a major drag for everyone who knew to hold flags. Kills only should (you'd expect) be easy enough for those random teammates.
EDIT 2 A lot of guardians happy for the change, which I totally agree on, many happy that they won't have to rely on blueberries to play objectives too, again I agree.
As we all know, the standard of players in the banner compared to regular crucible (barring daily modes) drops slightly, do you feel it is easier to carry a team to victory despite only a few going positive K/DRs?
EDIT 3 Nice to see so many of you with constructive comments and reasoning to your choices, only a few toxic comments, who, with their stats, will not be enjoying the banner regardless of game type.
I'm definitely looking forward to challenging some of you guardians during the event and maybe even seeing you owning as the blueberries on my team too.
Most of all, I hope the banner blesses you all with good RNG (yes even the toxic commenters), we all know how bad it can be.
EDIT IN PLAY
Well as we all know banner has arrived. And whilst I'm enjoying the change. Playing alone provides new challenges other than the mode itself. I've had to almost literally carry teams to a win on a few occasions and it's definitely not as fun (for me) as it used to be. If any of you are finding difficulty getting a group together for PS4 send me a pm and we could run together. My stats are available (PS not much history as was a new account)

Sniper camping. Super fun.
-
Initially I love the idea but then I realise that it MIGHT mean that it could be a camp fest which will be the worst result possible. I voted undecided I'm going to wait and see.
-
2 Repliesgood and bad. Pros- There wont be a problem with people trying to play clash in control. Kills are more inportant Cons- Light level makes IB even more challenging for lower light level players. People over 310 will dominate because they will have higher light and it is all out warfare
-
1 ReplyThink they should have gone with Zone Control first.
-
Because people don't know how to play control...
-
It's different but it always needs to be different not just one week, think each day should be a different game mode rather than a whole week of 1 thing, makes it so boring after the first day :/
-
People don't know how to capture flags in their advantage. Example - team captures b and c and controlling. Two guys decided capture a; enemies respawn near you - rushing you, capturing the zone. U need to play smart. Clash is easier. Running with shotgun with other two teammates and wipe everybody.
-
Yes Why? Different
-
Because people are too numb to play control and play it like clash anyways.
-
While you are correct, no objectives may promote camping (though the radar makes it difficult to camp IMO)... It also removes the negative effects of having objectives. People had the bounties and would often times just ignore the control points in order to get the bounties done or to preserve their K/D which could cause a loss. But we'll see.

Edited by D34N0000: 11/13/2015 5:15:11 AMSpawns in clash are rediculous at times. Too many times you get spawned as if your in the other team, surrounded by them on spawn fs lol. That's enough reason for me to dislike it to be honest. Seems bungie are determined to make this pvp as casual as possible, I mean who wants teamwork in a team game huh?
-
People have been wanting something other than control for sometime(myself included). However, it shouldn't be just one playlist. It should feature multiple match types.
-
blueberrys never hold the zones anywyas
-
Make it mayhem clash so we can see teams of Sunbreakers and nightstalkers
-
Nope campers with shottys ruin it
-
Gives everyone a better chance of using their skill. Not who can pop their bubble on zone B the fastest...
-
Yes,at least now I don't have to cap the zones alone while the retards on my team completely ignores them
-
I can see it being better because now people don't have to capture zones to get more points. (Even though they never captured them anyways)
-
3 RepliesWould be better with no radar
-
Best Team Wins no matter what! No dumb people flipping spawns in control or whatever. Just kills , that's it. Unless you get that one guy on your team that goes 3-20 .
-
I play more clash then control now as when playing solo I don't have to depend of randoms messing up the spawns
-
Since no one knows how to play Control, this will probably be better. If you can't run around and get kills, don't play IB. Do normal crucible before ruining my day.
-
Yes, because whoever would get "B" flag typically wins. The other team can be better but it is harder to neutralize then capture a flag than just demolishing some noobs
-
Yeah it was It's not like my idiot team mates ever capped the points anyways, they just went for kills so here we go
-
1 ReplyI always found that iron banner was for proving your skill in combat so now that it is clash people can really show what there made
-
I personally was getting bored of playing control in IB it'll be nice to have a change I prefer clash to control anyway
