GLIMMER'S DROP HAS BEEN NERFED SINCE TTK
Anyone else notice this?
Not sure if it's the mobs or a certain amount of glimmer gained that stops other mobs from dropping glimmer...but this is the most uncalled for nerf 2nd only to the weapon parts nerf.
Don't u remember getting 25 glimmer per yellow bar enemy pre-TTK? Now killing a yellow bar gives you nothing, and if u have a glimmer consumable active, THEN and only then will u get 25 glimmer. As opposed to 50 glimmer when u had a consumable active pre-TTK. That's a 100% hit to glimmer gains that wasn't even mentioned in the patch notes.
Then, the "enemy is moving against each other" events don't even give any glimmer with consumables active...nor if u have the corresponding ghost for glimmer gains.
And on that note, the glimmer gained from the different ghost shells act like a glimmer consumable. If u have the Hive ghost equipped, then u only gain 25 glimmer per yellow bar. The same as if u had used a Black Wax Idol.
Now, wouldn't it be fair to assume if you used both a ghost and a consumable that it would be an additive effect and bring glimmer gains back on par with pre-TTK? NOPE!!! Too much to ask.
TL;DR: glimmer gains nerfed 100%, glimmer consumable and ghost shells function the same (non-additive) way.
From TTK we can't farm anything anymore!

Yeah it was nerfed, anyone who says their always "maxed" just don't spend it enough so they don't really notice. But just do normal activity's and always pop consumables, also ghost help you now with getting more glimmer even in crucible. I usually run out a lot, even if I max out I can spend it all in like 5 mins LOL but I do everything in the game and I love to upgrade my gear, have lots of heavy and level up factions.

Alright here is what that is. There's a Cooldown on glimmer of you kill too many enemies too fast. This was implemented around the same time that they removed glimmer drop in the undying mind section with all the majors. It's to prevent people from getting a shit ton of glimmer from the enemies are moving against each other public events. It's like a 20 second Cooldown. However, it is also extremely Inconsistent. For example, after doing the undying mind strike, I started to notice i wasn't getting glimmer from killing taken, ten seconds later, I was getting glimmer again. At the boss, all the enemies dropped glimmer for me. I think the Cooldown never happened because the ad didn't continually spawn and their intervals between ad waves. I got around 1,200 glimmer from that strike.

Glimmer is so easy to come by...do strikes, get engrams and decryp = easy Glimmer. Taken give you Glimmer Pretty sure leveling up gets you Glimmer aswell. Hell I didn't even notice the "nerf".

Stop just grinding mobs and you will have plenty of glimmer. Yes mob grinding has been nerfed (aka exclusion zone farming).

Get the raid ghost and you get glimmers from takens.

Ever since TTK dropped I've been capped out at glimmer (I was broke on release because Iron Banner). Don't know what you're doing.

My advice do patrol missions I get 250-500 glimmer for each mission

Damn, you have a problem with glimmer? I'm surprised, because I maybe spend a good 5-10k a week and make it back like nothing from just playing. Something else to note it that I only play on the weekend so I only have 3 days.
