Sunbreaker Discussion

Before I get started, let me open with this: I have played all three classes extensively. I have 86 total created and maxed out characters in my history of Destiny. Over 100 days of play time in Destiny. I have loved all of these classes at some point and want to see them all as balanced as they can be. Now let me start my discussion. Sunbreaker is ridiculously strong. Too strong, as stated by anyone without a bias to Titans. What should the fix be? I don't know. If you nerf it too hard, you make it useless. If you don't nerf it, it breaks the PvP meta. You can't just attempt balancing it in PvP though, because the balance could potential ruin it's PvE potential. There are some simple fixes, such as: Reducing its Rate of Fire (throwing the hammers slower, reducing max amount that can be thrown), reducing its damage reduction to be on par with a Radiant Skin Warlock (meaning a Golden Gun shot or a high impact sniper headshot would kill), or put a timer on the Cauterize skill so that health regeneration cannot be utilized in rapid secession. Personally, I think the damage reduction is the way to go, as it doesn't ruin it's PvP or PvE effectiveness when used correctly. Here's the problem. All of the top tier PvP players agree that Sunbreaker is too strong. This isn't just Hunter mains crying about an OP super. It's the whole top echelon of the PvP community. Even Titan mains, to include Datto, EnragedCinema, and AEGabriel (the best Titan PvP player in the game) agree Hammer of Sol is too strong currently. If all of the top tier PvP players and Titan players can agree that it needs a nerf, why can't fanboys? I hear the same tired lines over and over again.
Titans have had shitty supers up until now. We need an overpowered one.

You're just a Hunter, stop bitching.

It's not overpowered. Just get good and use better tactics.

Bladedancer is overpowered and we didn't complain about that. Stop bitching.
All of these EXCUSES are trash. Fist of Havoc is quite good in Crucible and the Ward of Dawn is a complete nuisance to combat, especially against a team of them. Choosing to play only a Hunter, after a year of having 3 characters that I repeatedly deleted and re-leveled, doesn't mean I'm not adept in all of these classes. Not overpowered? Last time I checked a Golden Gun shot shuts down EVERY super... But not a Sunbreaker. A 1000 Yard Stare can shut down EVERY super... But not a Sunbreaker. Lastly, Bladedancer is not overpowered. Blink was overpowered. A shotgun blast to the face and a quick melee ends a Bladedancer. Try that on a Sunbreaker. A shotgun will end a Golden Gun. A shotgun and melee will end Radiance. It will end every super that allows you to roam, except Sunbreaker. So, as a Destiny player who just wants to see PvP get as balanced as it can get, stop defending your broken class and man up. I understand supers are meant to be strong and free kills for players who might not have the gun skill to hang with some of the competition, but a super should never be so dominant that a competent player using the same tactics that shut down all other supers can't shut down a Sunbreaker. End of discussion.
