[BUMP] We demand answers. Questions that *must* be answered from Bungie.

If it takes 20 or even 5,000 bumps just to get Bungie's response, I will do it. I cannot stand here not getting answers from Bungie for a long time. The fact that many of us are crying out loud to reach Bungie's ears about The Taken King that causes many of our connection unstable and not getting any response from them makes me want to scream from the top of my lungs. Deej stated number of times in the Weekly Update that they are listening. If they are actually listen, then we demand answers from them because we paid for the game. We cared and loved Destiny so much that we want to know what's going on. [u][b]QUESTION #1: [/b][/u] I have noticed that in the Pre-TTK, many of us, especially the Wi-Fi-users, never had a single issue throughout the entire year. And when the time came for TTK to be released, it literally hits some of our connection so bad that it becomes unplayable. To give a better perspective, I have both Playstation 3 & 4 (bought it 3 days ago). In PS3 version, I have all but The Taken King DLC. The connection is perfect and not a single issue has popped up on my screen. On PS4, I recently bought The Taken King Version and it becomes unplayable. Why or what is the cause for this? I know for a fact that I'm not alone! Many of us have checked with our ISP, some are hard-wired and double-check every tiny details about our servers and it was all fine. In fact, we played many of other heavy online games with no problem at all (no disconnected or whatsoever). However when it comes to the Taken King, it becomes, you guess it, unplayable. Why? [u][b]Questions #2:[/b][/u] In order for the game to be more stable and reliable, what are the requirements? How fast our Internet must be in order to keep up with your server? As I've stated in the first question, we had no problem at all with Destiny for entire year until TTK came out. Clearly, something has changed at your end. Again, what are the requirements in order to keep up with everything? We'd like to know! Will add more questions if any Destiny-fans really want to know about anything.

  • Ok I am under the impression now that this is something which is not going to be fixed. I have done everything my end to troubleshoot this and still can't get more than 10 minutes in any social space on this game without being kicked out to the title screen with a caterpillar error. This game therefore is unplayable for me. I have paid you for a product bungie which I can't actually play, so can you please private message me contact details so i can put in an official complaint in writing because this forum is clearly not the place for it. I want my money back... its been nearly 2 months now. You are literally ruining your reputation with your refusal to undo whatever tweak you made with the taken king. what a shame because your game was great when I managed to play it. I am sure you can see how little i have played it since TTK and see there is something wrong. Rant over.

  • Just wondering if you port forwarded on your ps3? Have you tried it on your ps4? Might be causing a conflict :) Worth a check :D

      • And here I thought it was just me, i cant seem to sray in a game for more than 15 minutes. As for info I live in the US over on the east coast, I have Clear internet and their basic router and my Xbox One is running wirelessly off of it. BUMP FOR AN ANSWER

        Don't really see the merit of posting "my destiny is fine" on this thread... unless its accompanied with some technical info such as ISP, region, platform, wireless or Ethernet cabled, etc. the fact remains bungies servers can't cope with either the load or certain connection types, or connections from a certain region or ISP... clearly some users have hit the sweet spot where they are unaffected... congrats.... be it a certain region or set up which the servers like. maybe everyone who is fine should post their ISP/Region/Set up in here and then we can find the pattern. the bit that irks me is the fact bungie haven't commented on their architecture or done a poll or anything... which means they will never get to the bottom of the issue. they need to still START looking at patterns, whether its certain ISPs/regions/set ups... I have to do it in my job all the time... and usually with network you will discover some sort of correlation. yet bungie have not made any attempt to inform us in any detail of what they are doing. sorry for the rant but if they actually got a techie in here then maybe i could have a techie chat with someone to find out how their servers are set up etc. i'm sure there are some other IT boffins on here who would appreciate the same. i'm sure certain regions or ISPs are pushed to certain servers... and it may well be that those affected are being pushed to a certain server where matchmaking is flawed.

        • I've come back from holiday and it's still messed up so I can't even enjoy the halloween stuff in the tower... does anyone have any contact details for bungie as I want to send them a little email or letter.... this is beyond a joke now, I've paid a lot of money for a game I can't play due to bungie's server set-up and whatever matchmaking tweak they made for the taken king

          • I just jumped on for arms day to get my suros scout rifle, to only get weasel error code at tower, I jump back in go to earth to test out my new scout rifle killed 3 fallen to only get instantly disconnected with weasel again, so I reload again to earth to only get twice the distance and guess what weasel again, this happens within 20mins of playing, so I gave up and turned off my xbox one. I'm hard wired in as I hate wireless being so unstable, I've port forwarded, I've reset my modem, router, and hard reset my xbox, doing all that will get me maybe 1 days worth of no weasel code disconnects, but as soon as I get my first one, it will happen very often to only frustrate me and rage quit. There must be something very serious that bungie does not want us to know about there poor server situation, that or they are very embarrassed to say what it is, all I know is that it's WRONG BUNGIE, you made millions off of us and continue to make more money, and all we ask is for the game to have stable servers like everyother game we have, if they can do it why can't you guys, but we do deserve an update and we will understand and be patient, but when you keep these issues in the dark and stay silent about them people will get impatient and frustrated.

          • Bump I have a pc ps4 n Xbox one and this is literally the only game I have connection issues with ttk fixed so much the old destiny was dull you did clean it up proud of you now please stabilize your connection issues I DC where in the green why???????

          • Oddly enough I had this issue more with the original Destiny than I have with TTK. I even took the game back, prior to The House of Wolves DLC. I only recently got back into the game and haven't had any issues, except for today when it suddenly decided to not let me sign in until I'd reset my modem, hard drive, and sacrificed my first born. I was really hoping they'd had the majority of these crap error codes fixed.

          • Bump this up, the game for me is unplayable today, yet it was yesterday and a week ago and its the same error over and over, Bungie, instead of focusing on new content, fix your servers, get them stable enough for us to play without any problems and then go for new content plus Bungie is a huge company so you surely have the man power to do both and just for once instead of only replying to your own posts BUNGIE reply to some of these DEEJ WHERE YOU AT

            • Love this game and all expansions, but after the taken king im getting screen freeze-excessive lag from other players-or the game slows down, I also had 2 critical failures that got reported to sony I have uninstaled and completely reinstaled I have dome file refresh and also rebuild. None of this happened or was necessary before the taken king With the exception of the crucible occasionaly throwing a wobbly Somewhere something got broke when the taken king dropped

            • Yup. I've been playing since day 1 of the beta, and ever since Taken King dropped I literally spend more time getting disconnected, reconnecting, getting dc'd again, testing xbox live connection, reloading, more dc's, than I do actually playing the game. This is BS. I've now dropped $140 dollars on a game I can't play. I spent an hour and a half last night and never even got out of orbit. You owe me money, Bungie.
