Error code Weasel again.. and again... and again... and again
Ever since the 17GB version 2.xxx download came out, I have had nothing but "weasel" errors.
Between last Sunday and last night, I have been on about 10 hours and have had almost 30 weasel errors that kicked me back to the login screen. Did NOT have this problem before TTK (v2.xx). WTF Bungie?
Looked up the weasel error fix(es) and Bungie's best solution was to hardwire the internet connection between the PS4 and my router/modem. Are you for real, Bungie? You want me to spend nearly $700 to re-wire my home so I can play this game? I have 5 gaming consoles in two different rooms at opposite ends of the house and the router/modem is on the second floor. So I need two ethernet switches, close to 700 feet of cable and ethernet connectors, a connector installation tool and lots of tie-down hooks to go on the outside of the house, not to mention drilling new holes in the walls, etc.
Unacceptable solution, Bungie. I would bet that greater than 80% of the users out there are running wireless. Your solution to hardwire the system leads me to believe that you have misjudged latency issues when writing your internet software and your transmit/receive timeouts are WAY too short. Result: the user is KTO'd. I understand the reasoning: longer timeouts slow down the game.
The people who spend hard-earned money and invest time in this game deserve better. Please fix this, or AT LEAST post something the tells people how EXACTLY to run wireless.

To improve your experience when using WiFi, try these steps: - Move your console as close as possible to the WiFi source. - Turn off or disable all other devices connected to your WiFi network while playing Destiny. - Avoid obstructions between your console and the WiFi source whenever possible, especially large appliances or other electronics. - Switch your WiFi router to an uncongested wireless channel. - Contact your router manufacturer to ask about advanced settings that can improve your wireless signal strength and stability.

I'm having the same issue ever since the update, and it's complete bs when bungie's so call fix break and screw up my game time even more.

I too have had the same problem with Destiny on my xb1 tho. Same thing, can't get a wired connection to my xb1, but I have good upload and download speeds with an open NAT. Didn't have any problems with #weasel or #caterpillar b4 TTK and now It's all I get every 10 mins when I try and play :S Regretting my $80 I paid for the expansions...

Hey boss I know it's not what you want to hear but go into your Xbox find out what your upload speed is if it's stupid low compared to you download you prolly need to update your routers firmware. My worked perfectly before the update (17gb one) but after I guess destiny started whoring up all the wifi and my router couldn't keep up. After I updated it no error codes continued.

Baboon and weasel error codes are the two things I hate about this game. I tried everything I can, but still nothing has improved.

2 RepliesI have been getting Weasel, Mole, Centipede, Bee, Anteater and others. I even had my ISP out and they said I shouldn't have any problems. I am even hardwired. It's not just you.
