I went from 87 Hours to 15 Hours in seconds...
This works for any download and I also have some additional tips.
"Go Outside..." Jokes, there has to be a post that's going to use that phrase that today. I bet £500. However it can work from time to time.
But this is what you need to do...
STEP 1 - MOST IMPORTANT
Playstation Settings -
---> Network
---> Set Up Internet Connection
---> Manual
---> IP Address - Automatic
---> DNS Settings - Manual
---> Primary : 8.8.8.8
Secondary : 8.8.4.4
--->MTU Settings - Manual
---> Set it to 1473
---> Everything else to Automatic.
---> Done
---> STEP 1 COMPLETE
STEP 2 - TRY AND USE INTERNET LIGHTLY
---> Try and Restrict yourself from downloading any big ass apps or additional games from Phone, P.C unless you don't mind waiting even longer for Destiny 2.0
---> Netflix and Chill...
---> Amazon Prime and Chill...
--->Sky Movies and Chill
---> Socialise!
STEP 3 - IF ABOVE DID NOT WORK DO THIS NOW.
---> Contact your Broadband and get it sorted for any future big ass downloads...
STEP 4 - IF THIS DOES WORK COMMENT YOUR TRANSFORMATIONS!
STEP 5 - WISH EVERYONE A HAPPY 2.0 YEAR!
-
I just used a LAN cable
-
I did this for a 17.663 GB Destiny application update and it went from 46 hours to 6 hours. Thanks!
-
Pause and resume worked for me. Dowloaded 6 Gigs in a few minutes 9.5 to go and 28 minutes left. Happy 2.0 guardians.
-
I turned my xbox one on and it auto-updated like all my other games. Only had to download a 9.8 mb patch
-
Pause the download over and over repeatedly I dropped from 23 hours to 45 mins and if it slows down again repeat Gets it done in no time.
-
Have your wife download it while you're at work ;)
-
Can someone reply plz so I can come back in the morning
-

Edited by Stretch Hardy: 9/9/2015 8:44:05 AMBesides the DNS fix, any tips while being under hotel wifi? I'm stuck away from home and my good connection for a while and 1% every half hour is killing me...high-speed enhanced $4.95 is a lie in hotels BTW. Besides using my mobile hotspot that is 1% every 2 minutes...because this 2.0 update is worth it.

Saw this on reddit, had worked for me so far. Moved about 50 in the past hour. I had been stuck at 5% and it kept stopping or going to queue on Xbox one. For Xbox just change the DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 which is googles servers or something. Although I have heard in the help section that this didn't resolve some people's issues

Worked for me. From 21hrs to 3hrs
-
Put the system in Rest Mode and do something else.
