I love how people are getting mad about Xur selling Gjallarhorn!

First off let me say it took me 1200hrs in game before I was dropped my Gjallarhorn. Months of doing raids over and over and over to finally get mine in the VOG. But now to what this post is really about. The HATERS and Elitists D Bags complaining about Xur selling Gally. You are complaining about people not having to "earn" their Gally when in fact you were given a random drop some point in time and "given" your Gally. Now people who played the weekly heroic to "earn" their strange coins to "buy" their Gally. I put those words in quotation marks so you can look them over and see how truly similar they are. Each person getting Gjallarhorn has earned it in one way or another. Just because they bought theirs and you got yours randomly dropped doesn't mean sh*t! I feel like the same people complaining about this are the same people plaguing our community by not letting people play bc they don't have Gally. You don't need Gally to beat anything in this game. Last week I took two newbs through Skolas, one with Ash Factory, the other with Truth. Gally is not a must. Life isn't fair. Neither is Destiny. I want every single person who hasn't got to taste the glorious destruction that is the Gjallarhorn to experience it in full before it's too late! (Shame on you Bungie for nerfing our whale, another rant entirely.) Either way you cry babies are whining about an imaginary weapon in an imaginary world. Suck it up and go make Necrochasm a requirement to join your fireteam (sarcasm). F-cking turds.

          • The only difference between the two types of players is that those who bought it from Xur gave up coins. Those that got it from RNG, didn't give up anything. So actually, those buying it, earned it more than the others.

I think I made a post about this a long ass time ago cause people were complaining about Xur selling Exotics and the elitists and whiners came out in force trying to gripe about it. You're right, if they did the grind for their coins, they did indeed earn their weapon. The ass monkeys just need to shut it. Edit: I found it, it wasn't a post I made, it was a post from another guy that I commented on.

            • Love your comment man!!! you nailed it. I had to wait 900 hrs to get my first, then another 800 to get my second and funny enough yesterday I got my thirds (but not buying it from Xur) I got it in a Nightfall, hahahaha, so much irony. Honestly, this earning thing is soon wrong. most of my friends had 7-12 gally's dropped. Is that earning it? well they put the time but no, they where just in the right loot table!!!!, that's it. People forget this is a video game and a random algorithm determines who gets what. I do hate the nerfing, that will be sad but something new will come. I just hope Destiny does become more like an MMO where there will be items that you will never get, ever! and others will plenty of times. Or maybe people will only get them based on skill. So let's stop this "Everyone deserves everything in the game" and we might just get a real MMO like experience.

            • Let me put some logic here. Because it's Gjallarhorn, people only go to say that people didn't earn it from buying it from Xur. When Xur sold every other weapon, where the -blam!- where they? They only want to be special because it's a good weapon.

            • The RNG is the equivalent of going to a casino & playing a slot machine. Thats all the RNG is in Destiny, a glorified slot machine. Let these folks who think they "earned it" live in their little fake world, devoid of reality.

              • When I was playing PoE, I was telling people they're welcome to join, even if they don't have Gjallarhorn. I got mine after 7-8 months and I have less than 300 hours played. Sometimes it was irritating reading several messages "I got Gally, can I join?"; but when I had more options, I'd choose those who didn't mention anything about the Gally. If Destiny has become an effort and a "hard work" to get a weapon, then these people are playing the game for the wrong reasons. but they're little bitches. they are the same ones who demand that you have experience or you're out, because they use the mic for cursing or ordering around, instead of communicate and cooperate. On a second note, a lot of people who didn't had the lucky drop, started the game from day 1 (myself day 3) just like the others who got their Gally; if you make the most simple calculation ever, they got the Gally in a few months after the release, which is a lot earlier than those who are having it for the first time in 11 months. If you watch from their perspective, actually that was not a lot of "work" at all. It was a mistake making a single weapon be more powerful, because many play by the rules and exclude players who don't have luck or time to grind. Thus, it turns into a game that focuses more on gear, less on skill and we already had limited weaponry. Makes no sense to make a single weapon very powerful, unless they wanted to drive people crazy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kPwHs77CQzQ Anyway, with or without nerfing, is great that everybody has it now and hopefully there will be a variety in weapon choice in the upcoming DLCs.

              • I killed a level 4 dreg, it dropped a legendary engram that was decoded into a G'horn. If you receive coins from running, and killing, in the weekly heroic or PoE I see no difference. The coins were "earned" from killing enemies as the engram was "earned" from killing enemies. I'm using "earn" to make a point. The only items you can actually "earn" are the exotics gained from mentor missive bounties. I'd go so far to say that the items you receive from going flawless are "earned" to a certain degree. Everything else is luck, just as hitting the lottery is luck. I apologize for the wall of words but I'm so tired of seeing the "earn" you G'horn. Bottom line is you "earn" by putting in "work" if it's "fun" it's not "work"

                • Did you earn your gjallarhorn, Does it really matter? I got gally on my first run in the vault on NORMAL with a backpack team. Did I earn it? I Had no desire for it and was not actively seeking itbecause I had just spent hours completing the thorn bounty to achieve my first exotic weapon. And after that I felt like I earned that hand cannon. Gjallarhorn on the other hand is a random drop it seems more luck than effort. My point is that my friend spent hours if not days grinding for the damn thing and never got it. Now he has it and is upset that he did not earn it wtf is it really important how someone got it or is it more important that someone has it Please enlighten me how should the weapon be earned and why does it matter
