What Should Bungie do for Single Players?
I think Bungie needs to do one or all of these things, I have 145 hours into the game right now in a little more then a month of play and I am getting fed up with being unable to get above level 32 since the only way to get higher Light level is really hard if you don't have a group to play with, you can insult me and call me a noob all you want but as it stands when you play almost exclusively single player the game lacks any achievable late game content. Please leave some thoughts or other things you think they could do to improve the experience of players who don't have a group of friends to play the game with.
Edit: Just to be clear when I say optional matchmaking I mean that you can set parameters and look for a group, so you can set minimum level, whether or not the person has a mic, what activity the group is being made for, and total players wanted

They have used the word optional in the post. This means if you already have lots of people to do the content with, then you don't have to use the optional matchmaking. In a game the size of destiny, it is a bit ridiculous to have to go onto a third party site to find people.

1 ReplyPersonally I would love of they made a version of the VoG that could be solo'd. I know Crota's End can and have been trying to figure that one out. I have never completed a raid because the friends I have that could carry me often don't have time or don't want to play, and both random teams I've joined (I used to turn down all invites cause I would rather do it with friends, but now I just want to do it) couldn't complete it.

destinylfg.com I was a single player too, with a rare nightfall now and again, until a friend showed me this site. Its great. You can find groups for most stuff pretty easily, and it helps when you cant get a reliable group going on your own.

Matchmaking is a good idea in theory - but oftentimes you get matched with inactive or low participant players.. Earlier this evening a friend and I played a weekly heroic - the original player we got matched with was inactive so we stopped shooting.. He decided to leave.. We got past the breach the hatch part of Archon priest and then another person matches in. He raced us the whole way to the archon priest but stopped.. We get there and kill all the enemies thinking he will join. Only after we release the archon priest he moved again.. So we both stopped.. Danced and sat down, this is a level 34 with gally.. He then decides maybe he should do some work.. He gets the boss down to half by himself so we start to help.. He wipes.. Then waits for us to finish him. My friend and I decide to cut our losses and just leave. In the end we all lost.. Matchmaking is good if they play.. If they are inactive then the option should be there to boot them - say after 7 minutes of inactivity then they are bootable. It easy to meet people on the game.. Nothing to be shy about - just play and have fun! Good luck.

The only problem I have with MM is the people who are are opting into activities they are not properly leveled for. As long as there are parameters set for activities that is ok. I have no problem helping people with raids but that is if I'm prepared for it. When I'm doing NF and weekly, I have 3 characters I'm trying to get rep for and I want to breeze thru it. I wouldn't be so much in a hurry if the damn RNG Gods with start raising the % of shader drops and I wouldn't be as concerned. But with 3 characters, I don't want to carry 2 level 32s thru 34 NF. Takes way too long. -

I think bungie should start a forum page for solo players so they can find people to help them. Something like #recruitment sounds good

You know what I've been doing when I want to play alone......I go play a single player game like witcher 3 (awesome btw) and can't wait to get fallout 4.....but if I want some co-op, pvp(I suck btw).... I play a game like destiny.

Since they are single, bungie should implement a find a mate system..that way you'll find some girl/ guy you like and go get married...thank me later.

Nothing, they have been very clear since the beginning that you will have to find your own friends and that you will not be able to get every far in this game if you choose to play by yourself
