Please help: Expansion Error Content

Hi everyone, I'm having issues reinstalling and being able to sign in to Destiny. I bought the game back in its release in September for Xbox 360, I've played quite a bit (although I took quite a few months off). I've been playing the game on my brothers Xbox, but I finally decided to bring out my older 360 (perfectly working, no issues whatsoever, just a couple years older) and set it up in my room so I could play Destiny there. But, for some reason, whenever I try to install the game onto my 360, I would get an Expansion Error Code message or it would just download for about an hour, then go to a transferring game content screen and just stay absolutely at 0% for a 1.74 GB download. It's been this way since June 21st or so, I haven't been able to play Destiny at home in over 3 weeks. I tried to resolve the issue by transferring all the content and saved info from my brothers' xbox onto mine, using an external HDD. The transfer of content was successful between my brothers xbox and my own, the only issue was that I was receiving the same EXACT issues, sometimes it would get to the "Transferring game content" screen and just stay at 0%, sometimes it wouldn't even start the download because of the Expansion Error code. Once I saw this wasn't working, I decided to move my content back onto my brothers' xbox, so I could at least play elsewhere in the house. Except, once I transferred it back and had to reinstall it, the same issues that were happening on my xbox was happening on my brothers'. I've tried many different ways of making this work, whether it was deleting all my game content and trying to install fresh, clearing my cache, using my cousins' XBL account to sign in and install (he has the game and both expansions), creating a brand new XBL account to sign in and install, using a wired connection instead of a wireless, I have done pretty much anything I can think of to be able to reinstall the game and play. I've been able to occasionally play Destiny at my cousins' house, no issues signing in with my account or anything whatsoever. The only thing that I can think of that is causing an issue, is the expansion content (The Dark Below, House of Wolves) which I have not purchased. Prior to my issue last month, I had signed into my account on my cousins' xbox, I hadn't played for quite some time and saw to my surprise that I wasn't restricted from playing the expansion content, like I had been on my brothers' xbox. So, of course I decided to check it out and play which wasn't normally available to me, I figured it had something to do with my cousins' xbox having the expansion content. Once I got home, I took out my own xbox and decided to set it up and install Destiny. This is where the issue began, then happened once again on my brothers' xbox once I took out and tried to reinstall the game content. It may have something to do with playing expansion content on my cousins' xbox while not owning it? I would like to purchase the content, but I want to get Destiny working on my 360 before I do. Another thing is my cousin wasn't able to successfully sign into his profile and install the game, it would get stuck at the same issues as me, which is perplexing since he does have the expansion content. I have no idea what to do, I've spoken to Xbox Support for a couple of weeks, they told me a bunch of things to try, none clearly worked. I tried to reach out for Bungie support, but they do not have a support number, they do not have an active Twitter support, they do not have an easily accessible support email I could find or report my issue to. So, I was told to post here on the forum and hope that other Destiny users, mods, or admins could give me some support or show me where I need to go or who I need to talk to to resolve my issue. I realize this situation may have been a bit complex or confusing between my, my brothers', and my cousins' xbox 360's. I just want to be able to find a way to speak or get direct support from a Bungie support employee, or something like that. I feel like this issue should be resolved quite simply, so please if anyone could spare some help, that would be greatly appreciated. • Hello, NJ A few questions 1. Are you attempting to install all content to your HDD? 2. Do you have any external memory plugged into your console? 3. Have you made sure that you have enough memory on your hard drive to facilitate the base game, and DLC?

    • Hi! This is very confusing but it seems that it does have something to do with the expansions. I know that Xbox has been cracking down on some legal things like friends giving downloaded games to other friends by signing in on there account. So maybe it is coming from that too. My best suggestion is to buy the expansions on your Xbox account and download it on to your hard drive from your account. My guess is that it should work then Luckily you are just in time. With the Taken King expansion coming out, the collectors edition not only comes with the new DLC but both the expansions from before. Meaning Destiny fans who are getting it and already have the content are going to want to get rid of them. Possibly very cheep or even Free. Im not a Bungie employee by the way. Just a fan.
