I agree would love to see better matchmaking. I'm not what I would call a great PvP player I would describe myself as average I have matches where I'm in fire but I also have matches where I totally sh$t the bed. If I've been having an off day I sometimes will quit a match if I feel like it's hopeless. I don't mind losing is when I can't even get a single kill in edgewise that things get frustrating. I feel like better matchmaking would solve a lot of problems.
That being said to your point of harsher punishments for backing out I feel like that would be unfair for the simple fact that life happens. Idk how many times I've been playing then for an important phone call from work or a family member I haven't heard from in a while. Or if I'm playing and the girlfriend walks I the door or suddenly nature calls. What I'm trying to say is there are plenty of legit reasons a person might have to back out for that don't warrant a punishment and it would be hard to tell either way I think.
Take care.

You can lose connection, your baby is crying or as u said important phone, thats understandable and people shouldn't get punished for that. In my mind by punishing i mean they should set up some kind of system where if u get some specific ammount of abandoned games in a given time you get a warning or a punishment. If You leave a game every now and then it's fine but if it starts to happen more often in shorter periods of time then u do deserve some kind of punishment.

I like your warning idea.
