XBox 360:
I get caterpillar easily 4-6 times per hour if not more. Sometimes it's so bad it actually kicks me off XBox Live. I have a wired ethernet connection with 60+ Mbps download speed , an open NAT, and I forwarded all the ports recommended by Bungie.
This is ridiculous. It is not a problem with my router or connection, rather it is an issue with the Bungie servers. Instead of creating enormous $40 expansions, they should focus on addressing existing issues.
I hope Bungie wises up and allows the game to be played offline. I'd much rather deal with caterpillar on the rare occasion that I'm joining a fireteam than the majority of the time when I'm just trying to explore on my own.

Trying to play Iron Banner and I can't even connect. About 30 seconds into 'searching for guardians' it boots me and gives me caterpillar. Fix your broken game! I literally just renewed my Xbox Live Gold for the sole purpose of playing Destiny. This is ridiculous.

Same here been all day (off work) doing my head in !! 3 attempts at daily ,, gave up ..4 at weekly , just managed to finish ..pvp a few times now on my lock was lvling on a mission " caterpillar" had enough for today ..

Edited by Teh Gray Fox: 6/24/2015 12:03:40 PMThis is outrageous. I am contacting Microsoft because this error has been plaguing Destiny players since September 2014 and still has not been addressed. I have been trying to do the Peekis the Disavowed bounty for two days now and when I finally was able to stay in game long enough to get the event it disconnected as soon as he showed up. Fix this, this game is virtually unplayable at this point.
