Before anything else changes in the crucible I think it is vital that bungie needs to improve stability to the pvp servers. In every crucible match there are at least two people with bad, red bar connections. I imagine this problem has driven lots of people away from pvp activities already and I am getting quite tired of opponents skipping all across the map. I am an average player in pvp so save your stalker destiny tracker check ups to yourself.

Bullets. Statistics show that 98% of combatants die because of bullets. They need to be nerf. Bullets are too OP

More Crucible marks for a win like 4-5 it takes a lot of matches to get the 100 weekly limit considering there are 4 crucible vendors and 1 vanguard. I mean you get 6 marks for completing a ROC strike for the same amount of time as a close match in crucible

Edited by TH3xCHIN: 5/14/2015 7:45:11 PMThe problem with rewards based on performance is that if someone notices that they aren't going to be at the to of the board, they have no reason to just quit and start another game. Random drops, as much as it might suck, are the best way to do it. People may still stay in the fight at a chance for a good reward. Sometimes in Iron Banner my team and I were getting slaughtered, but I stayed in for the rewards. Got Silimars and Space Bus for it. Plus, if they change it for PvP they'll have to change it for PvE, and I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon.

Rewards based on performance or meeting requirements, like a bounty. This is a big reason why I don't play Crucible much. No real reason to even try to get better. Most ppl I see just keep doing the same thing map after map. Add some bounties that give decent rewards. This way ppl have a reason to put down the same guns and maybe try something new.

Lag definitely. A lot of problems I'm encountering in the crucible involve bullets visibly hitting an opponent but doing no damage whatsoever. Once latency/hit detection issues are addressed it will be easier to see what balancing needs to take place.

How about rewards based on performance

Edited by Juggernaut: 5/14/2015 2:26:27 PMWeapon balance is a nudge away from being really good. I don't think Hawkmoon needs any work, it operates pretty much as it should and the range/stability nerf balanced it pretty well but still left it feeling like an exotic weapon. Thorn needs a RoF nerf to reduce spammability. A two shot head shot is only ok on a weapon which cannot be spammed. TLW needs a more severe range nerf (think 4th horseman) or a decrease to impact to require 1 more bullet under all conditions, it isn't just really good in close quarters it outperforms everything no question. Red death is in questionable territory as it is indisputably extremely good but has a low RoF, demands quite a bit of precision, and is range limited by its burst so I believe it to be in Hawkmoon category: exotic operating as intended. Fusion rifles are solid right now. They occupy that high skill gap territory where you don't see many but the guys who are good with them make life nightmarish. I'm appreciating my Cleansing more and more. Shotguns getting a range nerf won't be the end of the world for them, make them require two shots to kill more often doesn't do much to weaken the class as map design favors them too much anyway. Scout rifles are pretty much exactly where they need to be. Map design is really the only hindrance to those old school halo guys ripping ass with them. Same goes for sniper rifles, this is mostly map design. Bring back the large maps and watch scout/snipers emerge from the shadows where they've been waiting to feast on souls. Auto rifles need more dmg. If you've gotta give them a range nerf to limit them that's fine, map design also favors autorifles in this game so a range nerf doesn't hurt much. But for love of everything sacred give them enough dmg to be usable in both pve and pvp even if you have to make the buffs relative to the game mode (20% increase in pve, 10% increase in pvp for example). Heavies are balanced (in an unbalanced kind of way) but it should be noted that almost everyone uses the low RoE high impact variants rather than the high RoF low impact/stability ones as they are much easier to kill with and field scout turns them into monsters. Note to new guardians, they are going to remove field scout from those low RoF archetypes I can feel it in my bones. Do not dismantle your good field scout machine guns. Which brings me to my final point: The goddamn lag is what keeps people out of the crucible. It cripples the game mode and creates a frustration that eats at your soul until you can't -blam!-ing take it anymore and throw your remote out the window, followed by your playstation, followed by your t.v., followed by your little brother.

They do not have dedi's for pvp and they wont ever in this game. so they cannot really fix the lag for it is the host selection and open matchmaking that causes it.
-
NLB needs a huge nerf, not only is it the best gun in the game (obviously), but I am also way to distracted by its beauty when other people use it, and I end up getting killed when zooming in for a better look.

Auto rifle buff

I think the Crucible's issues run much deeper than just a class of weapons. The entire sandbox needs overhauling.
-
Lag is OP. Bungie needs to nerf that.
-
They fixed a lot of older lag issues but u still get the occasional godly lagger They should make them freeze in place instead of letting them run around & damage others while they take massive damage or none at all
-
I don't give two #### about shotguns or thorn since they can be countered pretty easily. But the freakin lagging servers are such a pain it's not funny.
-
I don't care to nerf weapons but they need to do something to where you aren't forced to use a HC or be at a disadvantage.

another rebalance. Doesn't need much, a bit of light nudging should be fine. I personally think they should base the other weapons off scout rifles. Right now the average scout has about a .9 second time to kill, thats with all shots hitting the head, thats a nice time, its not insanely fast but at the same time its a decent rate. Handcannons are much lower and pulse rifles are in the middle of them, with autorifles being over a second. If they bring every weapon to be around that .9 TTK it would create a pretty nice balance. As for shotguns and special weapons in general, I would like to see ammo drops come a little more often, but remove all starting ammo and make it so a crate only gave one clip no matter what. it would limit the use of special weapons without doing unnecessary nerfs to range and such forth.
