I understand from Microsoft that developers have the option to disable the use of the Kinect microphone, which is not what I'm "complaining" about, but could you then explain why, when I play Destiny without my headset plugged in, I still get a little speaker icon next to my name in the game, on roster/orbit screens? Also, if someone else has a headset connected, their voice gets played through my TV speakers. It seems that Destiny detects the Kinect as a microphone, so behaves accordingly. But because Kinect/microphone is detected, and I don't have my headset plugged in, I get players' voices coming back through my TV. Which I don't want.
I know I can go into my Xbox One settings and switch the Kinect mic. off, but I don't really want to be doing that everytime I play, as I do use it for other apps.
Cheers!
