The Traveller

One thing's been staring at us smack in the face since Destiny's advent, since it's conception: theTraveler. It's on the box, on the map, on the ODST poster. But where does it seem to be missing from? Most of the story, hell, most of the game. It's just...there. It raises so many questions: Is it alive? Most say it sacrificed itself, but was it even alive to begin with? If it is alive, is it architecturally similar to the Vex? Is it related to the Vex? If it's not alive, who made it? Did one of the races we see now make it, or was it made by something like the Protheans or Forerunners? Does it have it's own gravity? Will we have a level take place on it eventually? Are there more where the Traveller came from? And that's only scratching the surface. Do you have any questions? Any theories? Anything you want to see the traveler do?

 • Take a look at the traveler...why is it blown up from the bottom?? what if rasputin shot everything at the traveler as it tried to leave us...keeping it here? maybe the traveler is always running from the darkness (hive?) stopping at civilizations giving them amazing knowledge and progressing their technologies so (hopefully) they can exterminate the travelers only enemy...the darkness... the fallen were the last to "fall" to the darkness... now they come to earth to fight to bring it back home... look up destiny lore on youtube.com... there is a video about the vex origins and this guys theory is the vex are to the fallen as the exos are to us... taking his theory into consideration maybe we have never really been at war with the vex, maybe the vex are just shooting at everything around it and their sole purpose is to time travel back to a point before the hive existed or just to a point in the fallens war with the hive to stop them from falling? also doesnt the name "awoken" hint at the potential of them having been "awoken" to new knowledge? possibly of the travelers past? i dont really have a theory on the Cabal because there isnt really much in the Grimoire cards either
