Edited by VolcanicVents: 5/26/2015 2:21:06 PMAnd what response are you hoping to receive? "It went by the wayside, Panic1975, but thanks to your through-the-BS-cutting-like-a-rhetorical-razor-inquiry, we will immediately begin retrofitting these 2 or more year old concepts posthaste. You are the true guardian of Destiny, and should expect an emblem/shader combo pack worthy of your efforts at the post office within the hour."? I'm sorry that you didn't get the game clip-packages assembled from hype-sites and speculation-factories like IGN promised you (remember to reserve your judgement until you see an actual product, people), but what's done is done, Destiny is what it is (I kind of hate you for putting me in a position to use that loathsome phrase), and if that's not enough for you that's totally fair. Take your dollars elsewhere, maybe, or at least address what you'd like to see fixed with the reality of the tangible product that you have in front of you here in the year 2015 of the common era if you want to make your criticism serve some sort of constructive purpose. All you're doing right now is dwelling on the past, and that's a pretty wheelspinny thing at best when the past you're dwelling on involves your personal historicity as an extant human being. Dwelling on 2 year old rumors regarding a then-as-yet-to-be-released digital console entertainment product, though, is just...[please insert your word of choice here because every single adjective I can think of here is totally fraught with judginess and I try not to get judgey with people on the Internet, especially when it comes to a topic as inconsequential as this one, but I'm having a really hard time not]. Hey, instead of reading all that, how about you just indulge me while I role play the poor beleaguered jerk whose job it is to field questions like yours: "Panic1975, the simple answer is that, while we feel many of the ideas in the video you posted WERE successfully implemented in the Destiny that's playable today, due to numerous intersecting factors including hardware limitations, internal politics, cross-corporate negotiation and compromise, shifts in workforce, budgetary constraints, development timetables, marketplace demands, et al, we were not able to deliver every aspect of the video game the video may have led you to expect two years ago. We here at Bungie, however, do not necessarily view this as a bad thing. Although we are under no illusions that we are making anything more than a consumer product, we do try to craft that product with as much artistry as we can, and just like any artistically-created entertainment product, be it a magazine, novel, website, television program, or motion picture, an initial idea is almost always drafted and revised; old ideas are shed or transformed, new ideas are introduced that frequently supersede the old ones, and rarely does a product of this sort emerge from the development process exactly the same as when it entered it. We're sorry that at present Destiny is failing to live up to the expectations you had for it, but we hope you'll stick with us, because we're always trying to make the game a better experience for you, and if we haven't done that yet, maybe we will soon. I hope that answered your question." And then he blows his brains out at his desk because there's a thousand more posts like yours, plus a bunch of them use profanity and call his company a bunch of -blam!- (you're awesome for not doing that BTW).

"why give them one game for $60 when we can milk them for $200? These fools will buy anything with Bungie's name on it." - Activision, "Oh and throw in some cheap ass shader or a new dance move if they pre-order. That'll guarantee another 5 million orders."
-
I want this game.
-
You won't get a response, even if it is seen by the Bungie team.
