Bladedancer too op.

So is it me or does anybody else think that Bladedancers are OP as hell in the crucible? I mean they get a speed buff which they use to get around the map in like 5 seconds, they get double the amount of health I swear and they get an insta hit kill, it's such a scrub subclass that needs to be nerfed, for example give them a speed deduction or a half health penalty, something. Please.

  • I've said it before and I'll say it again: If you nerfed the Hunters supers then everyone would want to buff the class in a different way because it doesn't get a OHKO shoulder charge, OHKO melee, or over-shields. The supers make up for the fact that they are a weaker class without supers. Plus, if you think Arc Blade is OP, then you haven't played with a Hunter, because anyone who plays with a Hunter knows the Golden Gun is the best super in the game. I prefer BD because of the agility and ability to go invisible though. I'm ranked in the top 9% in the world for K/D, and I only get about 2.5 super kills per game. It's not that big of a deal.

There so OP. I mean, I was once dancing salsa with one, then it shoved that damn green sauce from Taco Bell in my mouth. I literally had no chance against it. It was so hot that it melted me!

Lolno. Shotgun melee a blade dancer and they're done. Or you can just panic super like everyone does. Wth are the warlock and titan supers? Are they not 1hkos as well? Please kid.

It's not a OHK believe it or not. Takes two melees to kill with BD. You can do them fast, but a lot of people mistakenly think it's an OHK, so just being accurate. They can seem like they are OP when they kill you, but when you use them you don't feel as OP. I have been on both sides. I'm not saying that BD isn't good. Just not nearly as good as people think. You have to activate the super when you are behind cover and think that enemies are around the corner. The activation is loud. People get on high alert when they hear it. They are ready for you when you come out. Depending on where they are, it may do them no good, or they may kill you pretty easily. It's a risk/reward super. There is no risk/reward with Titan or Warlock. They are only reward as they are nigh invulnerable when they activate them and very little chance of the super not connecting if done at the right range. Every super in the game can beat Blade Dancer as well. Hunter is the only class with 2 risk/reward supers (Gunslinger also has to be activated behind cover in anticipation of a conflict that may or may not be real and is vulnerable throughout the activation unlike the other classes) while the other 2 classes have zero. Blade Dancer seems like it's OP the times that you slice through a whole team at a capture point, but there are many times that a BD will get killed pretty quickly and easily by heavy, super, fusion rifle, shotgun, or a team focus firing on someone that activated it in the open. The other classes almost never die while doing a super (they live about half the time I hit them with Golden Gun or Rocket) and are pretty much guaranteed at least one kill every time they do it. BD is guaranteed nothing. BD is not really OP. It can be at times, but it can also be womp, womp, at times. That's pretty balanced. In other news, Twice in the same match last night I hit a Titan in the face with Radergast Fury (RL) and he survived by doing his shoulder charge through it, so I had to hit him with a second blast... -_-

    • This has been posted over and over and over since the beginning. The conclusions are 1) Hunters get a slight advantage in PvP while Warlocks and Titans get a huge advantage in PvE. 2) Warlocks and Titans have their panic super whereas Hunters have to plan a bit more. 3) Hunters require the most "skill" (or are just busier) in PvE but Warlocks and Titans have shields and self rev and everything else needed to be OP in PvE.
I play all classes and subclass. All my characters are 32 and everything is maxed. While Hunters have a slight advantage in PvP it's not enough to bitch and moan about. If you use your sub/class effectively each one is perfectly able to compete in PvP.
Just get good. Not trying to be a jerk, but it is true. I play a Blade Dancer and know all the weaknesses and will share some with you. High Rate of Fire (ROF) weapons will melt a blade dancer under focused fire, but you need wiggle room. If you have an auto with high ROF and staggering rounds perk, this is the best way to go. You can stagger the blade dancer down to walking speed. If you run out of ammo or have low ammo though, expect to lose. Shot guns work well, but you will need a few shots. Two or three depending on the shotgun you are using. Don't wait to shoot until they are up close, the lung range on the melee will zip them forward and kill you. Keep pumping rounds at them, if they are low on health and you kill them as they hit you, you survive the hit, but with low health. If you are low on health it will be a drawl. Fusion riffles work great on blade dancers, but it has to have a decent charge rate. Plug One is a beast, but I can spam melee across a large room and usually kill someone with the Plug One because it has such an slow charge rate. Murmur with Arc is pretty decent, decent charge rate. Also, Pocket Infinity, if you get the shot off, will melt a blade dancer mid lung. Disruptor grenades on defend Titan will end the blade dancer supper. Nothing worse then going for the easy kill only to suddenly be holding a gun up close to Titan. This is one of the best grenades in PVP and is rarely used. I have died once or twice on Venus jumping to point B with Arc blade active, got caught in the blast radius of the Titan grenade, and have fallen to my death because I can't make it to the platform. I sent the guy a message telling him that was best thing I have ever seen. Scout rifles and Low rate of rife/high impact weapons don't work well against blade dancers because they don't shoot fast enough. A good blade dancer isn't going to give you the lines to shoot at them from long ranges. Warlock Sunsingers, melee over shield and shotgun, this works great against a blade dancer. Melee the Hunter as they lung, you will take damage but get over shield, use your shot gun, and win. This actually pisses me off. You do a lot of damage to the Hunter, get a over shield so you survive, and then have the Hunter at close range for your shotgun. Also, FoH and Nova Bomb will week Arc Blade. I can hit a Striker Titan and still die if they used their FoH, even if in the first hit. Same can be said about Void Walkers nova bomb. Arc Blade is powerful, but easy to over come. The Hunter gets a small speed boost, not 200% or twice as fast, and gets a small amount of extra damage reduction, but this easy to over come. If you have he right weapons equipped or right perks, you can kill one easy. If you run a scout rifle or low ROF auto and blade dancer gets close to you, you will lose.

        • I agree. Actually the golden gun is op too. And both powers have shields. For a Titan when we do our fist of havoc we can still get shot at and die. When I try shooting at blade dancer or golden gun from afar they have this shied that you can't even touch. They're op over the Titan. Even when popping a bubble with defender class, anyone can go into the bubble and just melee you. Not fair. They need to balance the specials out better.

The auto lock on is what kill me. Like why the -blam!- would you ever need auto lock on for a super that has no trouble getting 3-4 kills per use

          • When ppl cry regarding aiming as gunslinger I get a kick out of it as this is an God. Blade dancer? Just choke them in a hallway and instagib them. Not really hard. Only reason ppl complain is because they are seriously stupid pvpers that believe pvp has no strategy involved. I am not afraid to call the majority of players extremely thickheaded in pvp as I've seen plenty of sad mistakes. Granted we all make mistakes some things are just real. Ooh that was a good rant. What I find most annoying is just blink tho cuz I can't go past sensitivity 10 to compensate

          • Completely disagree. The hunter shines in the crucible because he is terrible in pve. Have you ever used bladedancer in pve? It takes your entire super to kill one yellow health enemy. I love my hunter in pvp but if he gets nerfed in the crucible I will swiftly delete him because he will be good for nothing.
