I have a great idea for in-game grimoire

Make the room with the speaker useful again.Like a library for our grimorie cards. Just seems to be the best place. Bump if you like the idea. Also, hit the like button and maybe bungie will listen to us

  • Of all the "suggestions" I have read in this forum, this is the first one that actually makes sense to me. That's plain genious. :-)

  • bump. like, you could go over to the library, press x, and have an option of "books " to select, like one for vault of glass, one on hive enemies, etc. The grimoire could be like "missing pages", or digital entries, and you can view them once you've collected them.

    • Bump big time. I think this is the temporary solution to the disappointing lack of an intelligible story. The Speaker should have a conversation tree, actually all the vendors in the tower should, to get more back story on each faction, their concerns, their ideologies, their simple backstories, and motivations. Its pathetic, that we have to mostly guess as to their existence, motivations, and backstories. Its simply stupid. The speaker is the obvious choice to help drive the guardians motivations and the travelor's plight against the darkness. He should have an opinion of all the tower's occupants, especially newcomers like Eris. It just seems unforgivable that no care, thought, or concern is given to these basic concepts. Bungie do you give a Blam? I want to know, everyone wants to know. Why are you not prioritzing this. Give the players a chance to invest into a story that will drive them to keep playing. I have close friends that I play with weekly that are dropping off, just feeling no connection to game that's core purpose to fight for the light is to acquire more loot. Or be forced to re-grind hard fought exotics that took hours and days to build up. Please make this game more than a loot farming excercise. This game should have heart and soul. It should be character driven. I want to freakin care about my protagonist. I want to care about the plight of the human race...And this game doesnt allow for that, doesnt strive to create a rich world, where lore is dripping from the seams. With such an incredible physics engine, gameplay mechanics, that rule all others...Oh my g-d!! wtf. How have you guys overlooked the one thing that made the world aware of Bungie as a major player to rival all others with Game design and story driven plots....need I say the word. Halo... What happened? What are you doing about it? I understand we dont want to be Halo at Bungie. but the creator's of the best story driven FPS game I have ever played, and I have played them all. Maybe the new staff on your team have not. Its a bummer, because maybe when you go astray from the things that make you the greatest, you need to spend some more time reflecting. Go back to your roots, fire the idiots that are responsible for this crap lack of story, or educate them, remind them about the roots of story driven FPS and why thats a good thing. Or Allow them to tell the story if for some reason the executive teams are holding this process up. Spin us a better yarn, give us a reason to feel invested, connect the missing pieces...and then people stop dropping, burning out, and will crave the books, the toys, the audio files, and of course the films... Its crazy that the potential has not been tapped. Tap the hell out of it please.
