I'm laughing, my moms laughing, and he is mad at himself. He recently unearthed MW2 from a dusty box in our basement and started playing it again. Couple a games in, he immediately runs into some hacker / modders. He adds them. He's having fun with the messed up game. The entire lobby is having fun with the messed up game. He goes and googles for free mod menus, get three of them, and let's his friends have a lot fun with them. Now, he didn't he hurt anyone. He didn't negatively impact ANYONES gaming experience. But he got a 2 days MW2 suspension and a 2 week XBL suspension.
Does he deserve? Not really. He messed up, but didn't hurt anyone. There's far more worse hackers on there that should be more of a target to Microsoft then a 13 year old kid.
What do you think? I'm still chuckling to myself, honestly,
-
your brother is a moron lmao
-
He violated XBL COC. It clearly states no mods or hacking. He is lucky he wasn't permabanned
-
A 2-day MW suspension and a 14 day XBL suspension? Isn't the XBL suspension enough?
-
Ya because if we was to think "oh I can do this with my friends on a privet game then why not in a public game" that is the MW2 ban... Then he goes "so if I can do this on one game why not the new COD or the new FPS" or he thinks "maybe I can get the DLC for free or even get my player maxed out" but what they really fear... "Ya know what I don't want to pay for gold lets see what xxxx credit cards number is" So yea it is ok for what they did, to try and stop him before he is even an issue.

Bring forth thy banhammah

Broke the code of conduct. He should be smarter than that .

He cheated and modded the game which isn't allowed, maybe even against Terms and Conditions of Xbox Live but I'm not 100% on that one. Either way, he played unfairly which equals a deserved ban. Sorry.

Rules, regulations, and policy are usually in place because something happened. Age and intent are irrelevant if he violated the Terms and Conditions of the game or system. Once you put the game in the system, you agree to those terms. #inb4goodexcusetogooutsideandplaycomments

Edited by Capt Explodabob: 1/24/2015 1:17:27 PMThat's what he gets, it says very clearly in the T&C not to do it. I'm just surprised that he didn't get a permaban.
-
He deserved it, knew what he was doing and got caught, now he has to live with the consequences. Doing something that is wrong is still wrong, whether it is fun or not.
-
Yes he wasn't hurting anyone modding a game without the rest of the lobbies permission. Lmaoroflcopter
