Here is my thoughts on adding a trade system that will keep the integrity of the game and still keep players balanced and still grinding away.
1: have a trading post with a "barter master" located at the tower. All trades got to be made there.
2: have "barter marks" which are earned weekly and only 100 per week can be earned and only 200 kept. (Much like vanguard and crucible marks) earning barter marks can be done by completing "barter bounties" which can be fun patrol stuff Exp. Loot 20 chest on the moon earns 10 barter marks.
3: Only inventory and materials can be traded. NO weapons, armor, ships or shaders can be traded. This will make it so new players still have to work to get the armor and weapons to be upgraded.
4: Each item in a trade counts for 1 barter mark. Items trades can be up to a 100:1 ratio. A little glimmer could be required by the barter master for his service.
Example: Player A would like to trade with Player B they both meet at the barter master to initiate the trade. Player A offers 50 helium filaments to Player B for 2 ascendent shards. The barter master would take 200 glimmer from each player and 50 barter marks from Player A and 2 Barter marks from Player B.
I believe this will create a fair trade system that's does not interfere with the "grind" of the game. But let's face it when you go week after week of running raids with your team and all you seem to get is ascendent energy while everyone else in your team gets ascendent shards week after week it's a little disheartening. I almost put the game away. Only thing that kept me was buying armor to break it down. I was stuck at level 28 for a month. Now everything is re-rolled and I gotta do it all over again and I seem to be on a 100 to 1 ascendent energy to ascendent shard ratio. Which means I got amazing weapons but can't rank up!!! A barter system would fix this and add a new element to the game.
