I recently decided to purchase the final upgrade to the helm I worked for several hours the past couple of days to upgrade it's final upgrade circle. I bought the exotic shard, and, seeing the "Upgrade exotic items" category, with the option to select the helm I have, I went ahead and chose the upgrade. Now I'm starting at my helm sans all upgrades, and no exotic shard in my inventory. I feel ripped off, mis-informed, and just plain angry at a game that has some serious work ahead of it. I've read the main page, all of the others who ran into this issue as well, and Bungie's stance that they will do absolutely nothing leaves me with the feeling they don't care what the players want. I have played MMO style games since the days of Muds, Everquest pre-expansions, and on through EQ2, WoW, Planetside, et al. Every time these games has run into a scenario where they had equipment or stat or skill upgrades or changes, the method that makes the most sense in reverting all points applied back to 0 and allowing the player to upgrade them back up was used as an unspoken standard. That or the gear's stats were just upgraded and you reaped the benefits. With the obvious poor thought in game design in the expansion in Destiny, in addition to the constant fireteam vs party voice chat -blam!-ery that happens 50% of the time when I'm trying to play with friends, as well as the patches that seem to never end that do nothing except delay my game every time I play (and yes, I've reinstalled several times on the XBox One I've owned all of 1 month now), I'm left with a game I plan to no longer play, so I suppose this post is to say "so long Bungie, you have lost a customer you only just gained".
