So during the Iron Banner, I've witnessed a solid number of people get Silimar's Wrath as a random drop at the bottom of the Leaderboards... I've realized something, getting an item from a random drop in the crucible is undoubtedly not "earning" it. Doing the Nightfall I guess, doing the raid, definitely. However, when I work the entire weak to reach rank 5 so I can buy an awesome Auto Rifle. Only to find out I can play 1 or 2 games of Iron Banner to get it next week... I get pissed. The Efrideets Spear was also something I was really glad to EARN by reaching Rank 5, but I wasn't pissed when I saw someone get it. Destiny - "Become Legend" The Silimar's Wrath was something I was proud to have. I enjoyed using it, and it made me feel like I had "Become Legend" by earning my way to obtaining this hard-sought-out weapon through completing tough bounties day by day and paying 12,500 Glimmer to purchase it. However, now it's handed out like free candy at a candy shop? [b]Destiny - [i]"Become Legend"[/i][/b] For a week, and then everyone has it. Lemme change the phrase a bit. [b]Destiny - "[i]Where nobody is special[/i]"[/b] Certainly there was other people with it. To which I would send them "Good job!" because I knew how nice it felt to earn that weapon after working for a week.
